Re: Coronavirus Discussion
Hello, Polly.
Thank you for writing your thoughts here.
We all have different struggles, some of which are new to us. You are exactly right to do what is good for you. Protect yourself. And so we survive

Gruss

the language of the Looduskalender forum English. i made a Google Translation of this post and added it here. in parenthesis is an addition which i thought was necessary to improve the GT result.
i hope that Kawajet will not mind me doing this.

Hello Polly, I agree with your comments.
I watch all my birds and other animals every day.
A stream flows past my 2 small green areas there is
to watch so much all day. I also have about 10 nesting aids
in the garden and 3 by the stream, partly equipped with a camera
(some of them equipped with cameras so it will become?)
not boring. Incidentally, a very beautiful picture, there is joy.
Greeting

there is one thing that i have been happy or at least relieved with in this situation. this corona pandemic seems to affect only humans. it seems to leave the rest of the nature intact. in fact the diminished human activity seems to be improving the state of the nature, for example cleans the air.

Agreed, ame.
See how quickly the air in China cleared after anti-infection measures were enforced. Now they are going out again, will the air get dirty as quickly?
Thank you for translating Kawajet's post. I think he will be very happy that you have done that.

Liz, your pic is really great!
Heinz, I don't have your idyll so perfectly. I am so incredibly happy about our owl pairs in the residential area. And our blue tit couple is still pending. They are struggling this year ... However, blackbirds also populate our balcony. After a long time. Finally again ... the population seems to be recovering. But I understand you 100 percent. We are forced to step back ... good for nature.
At last.
I feel deepest sympathy for our fellow human beings, who are struck by this catastrophe with full force. It’s a shame that nowadays hundreds of people have to die every Tah because of a lack of supplies, Countries that radiate happiness and joy and stability to the outside world. Italy ... Spain ... incredible. I was very sick 4 weeks ago. (I even mentioned it in the forum) That's why I think I've already survived the virus. At that time (4 weeks ago) nobody in Germany had expected this extent. I asked my doctor for antibiotics because of my severe symptoms and because I wanted to be able to work again quickly. Despite that I usually refuse. He was against it. :) My post is getting a bit long, but the message is still important to me: He explained to me that in many Central European countries antibiotics have been wasted for many years. Also with disinfection ... increasingly everywhere. People lost their defenses. That was 4 weeks ago. The catastrophe was not in sight yet! I recall this conversation every day.
Think .... .
Best wishes to you all from me.

Sorry....

Polly: Antibiotics do not have any effect on a virus.
Biker: Thank you for the article - very good. I read it in the Washington Post online, but could not see the animated graphs which are only available for subscribers. Very impressive.
Liz: Absolutely awesome the comic.
And, Liz, I did not thank you for quite some time for your videos. What would we do without people like you, Lady Hawk, Chimega, knarley, Cali Condor and some others whose names I don't recall at the moment?

It is about the body's general defenses. Would you like to discuss Rita with my doctor? Or just make another contradiction?

Polly: I just said that antibiotics have no effect on virus. This is a simple sentence. It is a simple statement. This statement is true. GT should translate it without error.

But think about why bodies are so differently susceptible.
Please read my entire post and even if the transmission is a bit difficult - understand the message. Thank you.

]Hi Polly, I don't mind these current restrictions. I can go shopping. Otherwise, I spend the whole day in the garden and by the stream anyway. I am 71 and dealing with nature and its animals keeps the soul young. :-)
I could spend hours on experiences of hedgehogs, otter muskrat, beaver etc.
tell.
Especially about the behavior of these animals with each other. They eat each other without aggression towards the other. It would go beyond the scope if I were to list all the birds.
But there are many. And a lot of insect bees, etc. after I built 3 sticks with potions where they can't drown.
So that has become long and yet only a small part.

Dear All.
I find it difficult to read your stories without emotion.
It makes me so sad.
Everyone is concerned, it is a terrible virus that has a huge impact on the whole world.
I keep it short:
I miss my children and grandchildren, hugging.
You can only wave and talk by phone and video calling.
I am so happy with the opportunity to find some diversion here with these webcams ... as well as knitting and crocheting.
I wish everyone a lot of strength in this difficult time and struggle !!
Let it be over quickly.

Hello Fleur, sorry that my post makes you sad. I also have daughters and grandchildren that I cannot see. But I can not change it. But nature and the animals help about it.
I will no longer comment on the topic here.

Kawajet, of course you should continue to post here. That is why this topic exists.
Yes, many people are distressed, as is natural and right. It would be abnormal to feel nothing in this situation.
Naturally Fleur is sad and she is right to say so, here.
Everyone, please post as you wish.

I need some form of occupation for the coming weeks. Should I buy (online of course) a model plane kit. A car kit. or a thousand piece jigsaw? What are others doing?
I don't have Fleur's skill with knitting or crochet.

Now I just had to smile :) ... Jo, don't you have a chaotic locker somewhere, which needs some care? Now would be time. But I think men love their mess.
Heinz, please write! :)
Every one of us certainly has new thoughts and experiences on the subject every day. Nobody can avoid it. It was during this time that I changed the department internally. Nobody could have guessed what would happen when I suggested the change. Well, my former colleagues write to me, speak to me ... we are missing.
Something positive at this time - we say and show who is important to us!
Before that everything was clear, of course.
And Heinz, I understand your connection to nature. It is also my retreat. Even though I'm not an expert, my feeling tells me that this place is right and honest. And I'm almost glad that this time humans are struggling with a virus. While our wild animals have to deal with these things alone. Have to keep yourself .... And always in danger that humans will decimate them because of it. Because they are sick. Instead of helping them.
Heinz .... radio operator? Seriously? I thought that was out of date and past. Cool!

Polly " But I think men love their mess. "
But I am female! I know the name Jo is not gender-specific in some countries. Here, Jo is female and Joe is male.
It's good fun, though
