25 July here they are wet.. is not normal :puzzled:

I'm afraid at least 2 of them were killed by tourists. The tourists have discovered a new Corona hobby. Kill animals! An incredible number of hunting licenses were also applied for this year. It will get worse because the hunt is a billion euro business. Nothing will improve for the animals.

Ducklings and cygnets often swim away from their parents and get lost, the parents don't wait them. Two such cygnets were found and brought in Makov last year. Unfortunately they don't survive unless somebody saves them. Have you ever seen a duck with a few ducklings together while one or two are swimming separately?

Today I saw a group of 14 whooper swans in the sky. First I heard them, then I could see them. Unfortunately it is very foggy weather.

Unfortunately I only got 11 on a picture

Thanks Liz for the beautiful pictures!

You are lucky! It's a very nice place, better than the big cities.

Solo, it can be! I'm not familiar with all these geese

Yesterday I checked my Kosmos bird guide. There are many different geese that look alike. :slap:
I had one or two on my pictures who had white feathers around their beak. A "Blesse" - so yes, they are Greater white fronted geese! Solo, thank you very much :2thumbsup: You helped me a lot.

At last! :loveshower:
Today, on my bike tour I heard a male eagle calling.. I stopped behind a tree and looked around to see if I could see him ...
Then, there they are! Male and female on a tree. Near the place they occupy for years. It is their area. I did not want to disturb them. So I just took a few pictures. Not the best, but you can tell that they are wte's
This is the breeding pair that breeds on the other side of the Bodden :D

It is a pity that the dead tree was removed. It was such a good residence!

snow! The first day .. Seagulls on the Baltic sea
Image

One found something edible ... or just plastic
Image

They fought over prey.. the seagull lost it. They all flew after the falling prey and then dived into the water

Solo, Sova, :hi:
you are very welcome. :D It was a wonderful to see the birds. There were also ducks, geese, buzzards. And of course sparrows, blackbirds, chaffinches and so on. There are a lot of magpies here. They are camera shy. Even more than ravens or eagles.

I'm cut from a Bavarian wood. Nothing can stop me so quickly. After the accident, I drove 14 kilometers. My goal was the Baltic Sea - giving up was not an option. Today is going reasonably well. It hurts, but it's bearable!

Starlings in winter.. is it normal? In Berlin they only came at the start of breeding. They were in front of my window. I would like to feed the birds. That doesn't work here. The seagulls eat everything. :slap: There are so many seagulls.
