Ever since I joined this forum, wrote my introduction and posted several remarks and photos, I received hardly ever any reaction. I have the feeling that there is a community within the community in this forum and you communicate only with each other and not with outsiders. The only response I received came from macdoum and airras and a pm from Shanta and Felis silvestris on interna. Oh, I forgot, I was subliminally critisized, when I wrote a concratulation to the French members on 14th of July. Even when I found some information on the Looduskalender homepage as to why the Alutaguse camera did not work, translated it from Estnish to English and posted it in the forum, there came no reaction, only a discussion about slugs and snails, but not with me. It makes me feel invisible, not existent, not present. I wish that you would change your attitute to make it easier for all future new members. I will not make any more statements what this matter is concerned. Lena
:hi: Lena, late welcome to this forum on my behalf. I´m sorry to hear. :( A lot of new members might be coming to this forum especially in the summer time and it can be hard to greet and notice all of them at that time... But don´t give up yet!

I haven´t seen you on the threads where I usually write (I´m mostly watching Ospreys and Lesser Spotted Eagles at the moment). And I haven´t been reading the social corner either for some time. But I´ll be tuning in to "Karu" camera after the chicks have left the nests. And I hope to see you there then!

I am very sorry you feel invisible. I always appreciate all observations even though I am not so good at saying anything.

Why not write about me? It took 1 year to discover this new thread within the enormous number of topics of LK forum…

My nickname Katinka comes from the times when I had a lot of pen friends back in the 1970s, as they lived in the former GDR (Eastern Germany).
I am a "child" from the middle of Europe, after more than :puzzled: 40 years having been around all through my country, now living at a very scenic place – the Middle Rhine valley. People here do not only show their hospitality to travellers but also :gathering: to any unknown person!
So it didn't take long to get familiar with all…To get a solid kind of living without possessing a flat, is the other thing…
Here I found a piece of film for you, in English!
UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley
 to Grieta and heidu!

Do not be too impressed – they have managed to extract the omnipresent sound of the trains on both :rant:sides (me I live in the 3rd row behind the tracks)…
Oberwesel is to see on 2'10-49

Hey! and they know my secret holiday place down on the sandy beach near Loreley, on 5'51!
(I'll be there next weekend to listen to the Loreley "Tattoo festival" [with marching and brass bands] – the sound is carried across down to the valley…)
The "end" of the valley route after 60 kms we have a unique cableway from the river bank of Koblenz city up to Ehrenbreitstein fortress: on 6'40

LK means a lot to me – all these fascinating articles on the main page – mysterious volunteer authors behind them – various webcam sites in a (not so anymore) strange country – a large forum in English. People from half around the globe.
I'm no "member" elsewhere, not to mention FB!

Welcome from me, too.
If I had read this earlier we might have seen each other at the Loreley Tattoo, we were there also.
Great thing. :D

Lena 101, I wish to welcome you to the forum and please don't feel invisible. I know sometimes I feel that way also, but people here and all the forums are so friendly they are not ignoring anyone, just trying to make sure everyone knows what is going on when these other people like you and me are not on the nest site. This is the best one forums I have been on.
So welcome and be sure to come back next year and check out some of the other nests on this site. I found this site 3 years ago, started with black storks, then osprey then the others, all are great cams and forums. I don't usually say much, but when I do I ramble. So goodnight and welcome to you and all newcomers. Enjoy :loveshower: :gathering:

Thank you Maxiesma and Heidu for your nice welcome. It's ok for me by now and I have put off my bad feelings in the meantime. I love the beautiful photos of all cameras and I sure will stay here. Thanks again and lots of good wishes to you, the USA and Norway.

Hello. :)

I am not totally new to Looduskalender as I have been following all the webcams since 2009. The pair I started to follow was Linda and Sulev and now I am following almost every cam as much as I can as well as other webcams around our globe.

Anyway, I live in Sweden and have a big interest about animals and the nature and therefore I am pleased to finally be a member of Looduskalender. One of the better sites when it comes to watching webcams and learn about birds life as well as other wildlife. Thanks a lot for the opportunity the be a part of this exciting experience. :loveshower:

Thanks Lena 101. :hi:

Yes I am certainly enjoying the the photos and the webcams. Greetings to all of you forum members for your excellent posts. I am not so skillful, yet, but have the intention to learn. I know there is information about how to do, so I will just read through everything.
