Estonian impressions - forum members visit Estonia

Post by Felis silvestris »

Several forum members have mentioned that they have visited Estonia, this year or in the past. It would be nice and also interesting for those who have not had the possibility to visit this lovely country, to see and read about such visits. So I invite everyone who would like to share photos and stories about your visit to Estonia. Where have you been, what have you seen, what did you like most?

I have made a small collage of photos - maybe it brings back some memories?

You maybe remember these elegant lamps? They somehow remind me of ice spoons, which is, again, quite fitting for a beach

Or the beautiful wooden houses

and maybe you stopped for a short dance with this gentleman?

Oh and if you recognise some birds or insects please comment in the album it will help me and speed up the description process

For those who want to go birding to Estonia, here is what you need:

an english written book about the birding hotspots there! On LK-Mainpage at the moment only in Estonian, but here you can find the English anounciation:

Estonian Matsalu National Park, on the edge of the Baltic Sea, is widely known as a bird sanctuary and one of the most important rest areas on the East Atlantic bird migration route. Moose also roam the heart of Matsalu National Park.
