Today in the news in Bavaria:
Osprey entangled in net - http://www.merkur.de/lokales/muenchen-l ... 71227.html
In short, a juvenile osprey got entangled in a net, people discovered him and brought him to a conservation and rehab center nearby. The osprey was taken to a vet and treated, the bird suffered a hyperextension of the left wing and the foot musculature, broke some toes because they were entangled so hard in the netting. It's not clear how long the osprey were entangled in the net, but it was last moment for him. He will have to spend the winter at the station, and will be released next spring again. Presently he's fed 130 g of mashed fish.

Felis
what a great happiness for the Ospreys
Nets for fish ponds are everywhere and very dangerous for fish eaters.
Hopefully there will soon be regulations to prevent such accidents. Not only in Germany

good news
Hopefully, they can save the leg
The last news:
The leg had to be amputated . The stork may get a prosthesis , but he will never be able to live in freedom .

Thoughts about the wild boar cam surfaced somewhere else - the following discussion started there and was a bit misplaced, so I moved the conversation here:
I have great doubts about that. The African Swine Fever is raging in Estonia more than ever and feeding boar (or animals as such) is still prohibited over winter.
