:hi:
Both parents bring the fish, so each eaglet have one.

Nice feeding for both eaglets.

It has been a wet and windy day in the nest. Mom has been many times in for mombrella duty. At about 18:00 she jumped to the parents' branch by the nest to take a break and 18:02 she flew away. It was dark already but she tried to return 18:18. She hit a tree trunk when trying to land and fell down. There is a Youtube video clip of the accident (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOg2MlefxMo) but the actual crash is not visible because the upper part of cam view is cut. Here are some screenshots from original Youtube stream. It looks like mom hits her head in the tree trunk just before her talons reach the nest edge. And down she goes.

from chat there:
Update for Sunday at the nest: There were 5 prey brought to the nest by lady and dad. 3 Fish and 2 birds. Some more self feeding practice and parental feeding for both eaglets. Nice crops at bedtime. Another good day for the eaglets on the nest. SE24 turned 8wks old today. 💖 Both Lady and Dad came in tonight perched on the lower branch of the camera tree across from the nest. Lady has moved to the nest on the perch branch after something she saw, possibly possum, at the nest. See you on the flip side. 💜

OCTOBER 1st

Good Morning!

Birdfriend :hi: Always happy to see you, brings back all kinds of memories from many nests

This Aussi Nest is one of my favorites! Since eggs I'm watching daily and praying for them.

This couple had so many sad events in previous years, and I really hope that this season will be a good turn for them  :2thumbsup:

WBSE 2019- September Compilation

September was a huge month for our Sea-Eagle family. SE23 and SE24 continue to thrive. Both appear healthy and strong - Lady and Dad have done an amazing job raising them, while keeping a wide variety of food coming in, even through the run of wet days. Seaglets generally fledge at around 84 days, so we would expect to see them branching within the next 10 days. Hope you enjoy this selection of pictures from this past month.

Nice video and comment from LadyHawk:

SE23 and SE24 "Self feeding with a little bit tug of eel" :D
https://youtu.be/eBKPA8uaEYk
Lady brings in an eel and lets the kids self feed on it. SE23 got it first, them 24 tries to steal it - they both end up eating! 24 will steal it away from 23 and back and forth they go - in a funny tug-o-eel moment. The both self feed and it takes them 3 hours to eat it! Thank you for watching!
