So interesting to watch them playing..
Similar to babies, who can explore and play with simple objects like kitchen utensils or a cloth, putting that all in their mouths, in the same way the eaglets explore their surroundings by touching and pulling, and exploring everything with their beaks..

E15 decides to join E16, yet E16 decides to start an argument - and a proper brawl starts
Kicking, biting and feathers flying!

It's a real practice for their adult life.

Moments later it is over, and both contestants go separate ways to continue their explorations

M15 brings a bird (a young heron..); E15 grabs it and mantles

10:23
E16 steals the bird from E15

12:20
M15 to the nest; takes what is left of the heron and eats it.
Both eaglets squeak very loud, so M15 gives them a few morsels, too 8-)

Despite the occasional rambles, they still do preen and nibble each other sometimes.

09:24 a.m.
E15 landed on the nest and started working on E16's feathers.
After a while E16 gets up and says - I don't want anymore! - but E15 lays down next to her and continues

Battles for the food are quite fierce sometimes.
If E16 tries to steal it and grab it quickly, if there is a chance; E15 seems to more actively take away the fish with force and by pulling it from underneath.

This morning E16 is the first to grab the fish, which M15 brought, yet E15 takes it away.

Image

Image

10:09
Yet sometimes the patient one wins
Harriet brings a cat-fish head, E15 drops the whole fish and rushes to Harriet; at the same time E16 grabs the dropped fish 8-)

10:48
M15 brings another fish; E16 gets it this time

11:01
Harriet with another fish; E16 is the fastest yet again

E15 steals a part of the fish from E16; now both have a nice brunch.

Both eaglets spent quite a lot of time on the nest today - since ~10.00 a.m. till ~ 16.00 p.m.
Probably, also because of the many fish delivered one after another.

Thanks Sunshine for your pics again.

I am so happy for this Pritchett's eagle cam world, where we can follow the eaglets exploring their territory also outside the nest, it is just awesome to see how they seem to enjoy of the space and a new world they can reach by flying around. The best set of all nest cams :D (Btw I find it remarkable that the eaglets can avoid the traffic and the roads instinctively)

Owlie, thanks a lot! :D
Yes, indeed, the setup of these cameras is great. As well as people behind them, who zoom the cameras to where it is needed; turn them to all directions to follow the eagle family day and night; take pics and describe each action of the eagles; moderate very professionally the forum, live chat and social networks.

Apparently, this all requires quite an investment both financially and also from the point of human resources..
Harriet and M15, and their eaglets are one lucky family! And we too, of course.

It seems, they can't do that always, as is visible below.. :whistling: But then people wait very politely. Cars stood still and started to drive only after E15 had taken off :2thumbsup:
