There was a splendid episode with a delivery by M15:
E18 was alert on Attic to see the food coming in
E18 jumped down to the nest and caught the fish so quickly that as well Zoomie, E17 and M15 (and I) just were taking their breath
E18 flew off like a lightning with the fish. This is exactly what an eaglet learns as its best, to steal the prey in front of competitors so that they don't have a chance - E18 has learned the skills to it!

I have it hard to believe Essec09, that they have no bond with each other beyond food

Personally I am especially happy for the past seasons at this nest - in spite of troubles we have seen a sunshine story of two generations of eaglets helped to the world. Among so many other sad stories in cam nests this nest has given a lot and I wish all the best for our juveniles in their future life.

They are fond of the pond, go there daily and preferably together
SWFL Eagles ~ E17 & E18 Playing At The Pond Together! Sleeping Side By Side Tonight! 5.16.21

I wonder sometimes if their bonding has to do with their experience together without parents that week at CROW
One of them on the lower branch in the nest tree. No other juveniles has spent time in the nest tree under the nest as these two. I guess this is E18

"E's Show Their Talent: West Pasture Antics - Fly, Chase, Carry & Soaring 05-18-21
The E's looked so confident and strong today as they flew through the pasture, in and out and over the trees. They chased after each other at times too. And when perched close, they had minimal conflict with each other. E18 carried one of the nestover bones to N2 (nest 2) to pick on it over there. E17 grabbed a stick and carried it to a branch to "dissect" it. The two of them soaring, spiraling and chasing was amazing to see at the end of my visit. The E's are 115 days old today."

A typical morning view - the juveniles spend often their night together on these branches, often on one and the same branch beside each other

Solo, my pleasure
A delivery - I didn't catch by which parent, but E17 claimed it
It was a squirrel, you can see the thin tail under E17's foot
Still time for resting together on the nest

A Squirrel For E17 & A Fish Head For E18! Beautiful Soaring By E18! 🐿
VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kytKx9Iifkw...
"M flies in with a squirrel and both E's are hot on his tail flying back to the nest! They both battle for possession of the prey and E17 gets it. E18 watches and waits and then executes a steal attempt and wings are everywhere but E17 keeps the squirrel and flies off the nest with it. E18 ends up with a beak full of fur E18 will fly off across the street and soaring beautifully for several minutes before disappearing.
An hour later, M flies in to the nest with a fish head (he was fishing at the tail-less pond today!) and E18 comes flying in right after him and claims the fish head. E17 flies in too late! E18 then eats the prized fish head. "
