Harriet came to feed E17

That was not fair - E18 tried to climb over the tussock in order to approach the fish and Harriet, but E17 blocked his way

A capture from the last night chat

E:
Sam, think we will have another "Pond Princess" this season?

Feb 18, 3:26 AM
samour17: E
there can only be one Pond Princess. Any after her are just members of her court.
I wonder if the Pond Princess meant was E15 ...

N, you asked about if CROW determined the gender of the eaglets. They did not, because it would require taking blood and they did not want to stress the eaglets more than necessary. The cost is not that much, but when you are a non-profit organization every dollar is important and is spent on things that are needed. Gender testing is not really important. Hope that helps.

It looks like first fish delivery for today - M15 feeding E17
Image

Also E18 is being fed, but he is so quick that I don't catch a real capture of from-beak-to-beak situation
Image

M15 fed E18 for a long time, then Mum arrived with food, that she doesn't show ... and dad left

Harriet continues to feed E18 with M15's fish - the prey she brought looks also like a partial fish ...
Image

Not bad - E18's crop

Not bad, this either

Magnificent Harriet from the Southwest Florida Eagles nest. This for me is the closest and clearest eagle profile I have ever taken.

She flew down in a tree very close. ...

K, scientists think one of the reasons eagles put sprigs of pine in their nests, is because the odor helps keep away parasites, such as blow flies. Placing greenery in the nest that is not part of the nest structure proper is referred to as ornamentation or decoration. This behavior is common in raptors. Biologists have speculated the greenery is added for camouflage or to let other birds know the nest is taken.

Instead of fresher food Harriet started to feed E17 with the UFO (un-identified food object), that I thought looked like partial fish
Image

What it is - I don't know
Image

E18 tried to get through to Harriet, but E17 pushed him away  - and all the food is gone, to E17
