... Here were three eagles including two ringed birds. Hopefully they and others will return also tomorrow. I will put out new boar skin which is last skin for this season. But i have also some fish for 2-3 days. So, not much to go anymore.

The unringed eagle was (nearly) adult and it was staying around the feeding place most of the day. The ringed eagles came later in the afternoon. They were the following:

• black over blue B489 (2009) from Estonia (Previously seen here on Mar 12, 13, 14; in the previous season on Mar 15)
  red over black D284 (2012) from Åland islands Finland (Previously seen here on Jan 19, 21, 22, 23, Feb 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, Mar 1, 2, (3))

6:09 already an eagle is down and eating.


6:10 then another eagle comes and there's some skirmish.


the other eagle leaves. i could not see which, the first or the second. but now one is left eating with corvids.

It was a very cold morning.

Do all these birds have frost on their feathers?

yes, it looked like D284 had frost around the eyes.

And maybe the ravens had frost on the backs of their necks.

i think you're right! they have frost especially on their necks on the back.

the feeding place seems deserted now.

The Sun is now in its peak phase in its activity cycle, which lasts 11 years on the average. After darkness a rare display of this activity at these latitudes commenced:
Aurora borealis or Northern lights.

The same ringed eagles were observed today as on the previous day, only the order was reversed. These were probably the only individuals which were seen during the day.

birds were coming in blue morning right after 6 am.


i think it must be rather cold there. boar skins must make a warm seat.

it looked like a youngster, a Spotty.
