Looks like Kordian thinks about a visit to Warsaw

Next stop Łódź? Maybe a smaller town is better?

Kordian does not like cities. Passed Łódź as well and general direction is still "go west"

Thanks Urmas for the information.

Kordian seems on his way towards north again. He reached Lithuania.

and presently sends his signals from Marcinkonys, southwest of Vilnius

The map has updated. Kordian moved on, left Lithuania, touched Belarus and went into Russia now.

Kordian left Novoye Obodovo and flew north for a bit, but returned almost the same way again

Long time no news here. The demise of free hosting by Photobucket made it necessary to exchange most of the linked pictures here.

Kordian is roaming around and setting records.

From the website producing the data logger used for Kordian:

http://www.aquila-it.pl/en/

Image

Latest data are from July 14, Kordian was not too far from "home" in northern Latvia

14 July is last date in migration map because then ends formally the spring migration and in next day autumn migration starts, though is not set up, yet. Will do it in near future. But Kordian is in almost same territory as one month ago. Is that his breeding place in next year?

We will retire the Buzzard forum to the archives, where all topics and posts can be read at any time.

The buzzard migration is continued here: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=900
at the Migration Maps and News forum.

If in future we will get a new buzzard camera, the forum will be moved to the active Looduskalender forums again.
