As Felis wrote, he can´t. He can´t even rip up the food for the little eaglet. And I think the egg spend too much time alone also, so it will probably not hatch (?).

Yes, I think it is Mačo. I do get my information also from the Latvian forum (though Google Translator makes it very hard at time) and they do get their information from Dr. Bergmanis himself.
I'm also very sad, as you know, the LSE are "my special birds" and I would have loved to add another season of them breeding and raising a chick to my experiences. This season is somehow jinxed, we can only hope next year is going to be better.

this season is really jinxed.
i would have liked seen the spotted eagle. He is also my favorite. Dr. Bergmanis working jointly with the German Wildlife Foundation. they do a lot to save these beautiful animals.
