April 27, 2015 the embedded Flashplayer on the German website Schreiadler.org is transmitting. It is dark already, only sounds can be heard.

Last year the LSE breeding season in Latvia was no success. The first nest which could be seen had apparently problems. We had seen two eggs, but never got to know the outcome.
One May 7 the stream was switched to the already known nest of Mētra and Mačo, who had already one egg.
Unfortunately the egg was the only one and as it was left alone for longer periods of time, we were not sure if it was fertilized. A raven ended the breeding season shortly before hatching time would have come.

We will hope for a more successful season this year and wish our Latvian friends good luck!

What a start! A hawk even before anything begins!

The cam was now also officially announced by the German site Schreiadler.org

A hawk?! Then better Metra and Macho should change the nest before it is too late.

It is the worst start we can imagine.

I finally SAW my first LSE this year, on the Estonian cam I only heard them.



The sound at the VLC cam is horrible, but the only usable for proper screen shots.

That is Mačo! That means that Mētra and Mačo have returned!

Wonderful! I really, really hope for a better year than the last! It seems this is again our only hope for seeing LSE.

I have a little problem with the vlc stream
The program hangs and freezes ( 3x on the bottom right side )



and so many GB ( The files are too large to handle ) ...to much !!. ..even too large to remove to the trash.
I have to fix it !!

I have not seen this cam and topic until now. I was afraid that we would not see the cam of Metra and Maco this year. For some reason they have a special place in my heart, ever since their first, sad, season - thank you
