Good evening :hi:

Biker, thank you for the video of Frīdis morning exercise, and Betiņa on the branch. I also some of it this morning, before I went to work (my first day after my holiday, so I'm not able to watch the cam during the day, only early morning, and the evening)

21:32 - Frīdis is still alone in the nest. It seems to me that he's standing on the branch at the other side of the nest, because it moves when he's preening, or moving.

22:16 - Frīdis is still alone, now he's lying down. It's getting quite dark. Betiņa has been in the nest during the evening (I checked the Latvian forum) so she is probably nearby. It sounds like it's raining.

Yes I saw that, but I thought he was blinking. I didn´t see it when he was looking straight at me. I hope it´s nothing serious, if it´s injured

Exercise, exercise, exercise - and now he´s getting more and more confident.

I have to go to work, have a nice day everybody

Hi Liz, as he flew away his eye seems to be open but it's not possible to take a snapshot from this sequence.

Betiņš was just here to bring some dinner and I could see nothing wrong with his eye.
What you saw, Liz, must have been the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nictitating_membrane

Already venturing quite far away from the nest! Something interesting is keeping him/her busy there

07:25 - Frīdis wanted to go to the branch in the lower, left, corner, but s/he changed her mind. It must be slippery from the rain, please be careful Frīdis..

18:34 - The weather has definitely improved, Frīdis is dry, and it's safe to jump on the branches.
