16:12 - Betiņš arrived with a mouse. Frīdis Grabbed it and swallowed it.

When I opened the cam at 21:15 Betiņš had just arrived with prey and Frīdis had grabbed it and was swallowing it. A nice picture of all three on the nest

21:51 - The night is approaching, Frīdis is pleased to have mom at home, and probably also with the late night snack Betiņš delivered earlier :-)

Deli, that's just it, I'm not very good to recognize. Often it goes too fast for me, I'm afraid :-)

Felis, so nice to see the whole family for once. Not often these days. Yes, picr.de is perfect. I'm so glad I finally found a substitute for Photobucket.


09:22 - Delivery from Betiņš. Frīdis grabbed it very fast, and hid it, as usual, but I think it's a frog that is lying on the ground, between his claws.


It's raining.

09:43 - Another delivery had happened while I was vacuuming, was it Betiņa this time? I didn't see the delivery, but it looks like a mouse of some kind, that is lying between Frīdis claws. Betiņa Sat on the branch for a little while (when I was watching), before she left.

A woodpecker seemed upset nearby.

16:34 - Frog delivery from Betiņš. I got a quick look at the frog when I rewinded the cam, but it was not long enough to get a good picture of it.

16:46 - After the meal, Frīdis did some exercise, with a high jump. The pictures are not good, but I want to show you how good he´s getting




And after the jump was done, Betiņa arrived with another frog. She moved it a little, ate a bit herself, and left at 16:50.

16:48 - A better look at the 16:46 frog. It must be in the nest still, I hve not seen Frīdis eat it.

Wow, he jumps and exercises very good!



So cute! Betiņa takes care for Frīdis and he seems to enjoy this very much. We should not humanise the birds but it looks like love for her chick.

Biker, I just saw it when I rewinded (thanks to Liz) the cam, that Frīdis suddenly stood on the branch

09:45 - Frīdis was eating. It was a delivery, I saw a glimpse of a parent in the nest.

21:07 - Betiņa is coming from the forest, and landing on the branch..

she decides to pick some twig with her from the nest tree, before she jumps down in the nest.
