July 30

good morning!

there were some stormy winds in the night and around 3 to 4 it rained hard on a few occasions. no thunder, as far as i could notice.

5:59 rain with sunshine.
the hardest shower took about 5 min. then the rain turned to a drizzle. it's been so dry for such a long time that this rain deserved a video. :whistling:

15:48 rumbling of thunder from far.
15:50 again.
15:53:46 again.

15:55 something big and white is dropping. hails? or big water droplets? nothing white is piling on the nest.

16:05 a loud bang and rumble. that was closer, but still not very near.
16:09:56 more rumbling.
...
16:17 was that it? it stopped raining and the wind has almost stopped. or is this calm before the real storm?

the sky is now darkest in the east (left corner) but it's not raining and the wind is rather modest compared to what it was earlier.

the morning has been windy, too, but there has been no rain. there haven't been any visitors either, at least i didn't find any.

5:02 a big bird flew by the nest tree over the meadow from right to left. i think that it was big enough to be an eagle.
Image

5:03:00 a male eagle called nearby. i think that this confirms rather certainly that the bird who flew by was an eagle.
-mega2 noticed these events. thank you mega2!
