Yes, it was going on quite far, but I will not argue, I just wanted to reveal the truth so that no one has to guess what it was.
The worker began work before dark and light was already visible after five, just only later drives closer and then after seven drives away, then the light moved back and forth and becomes bigger / smaller...
Of course the moon path/road would be a much more romantic version.

Firstly, the light moved with the moon. The technique cannot move so slowly.
Secondly, the equipment should turn when working, but the light was stable, constant.
Thirdly, it is in this place that the pond is located. What can a technique do in a pond?

good morning!
it will be another cloudy and grey day... two pygmy owls had a call battle in the morning again.

i checked the Moon rise yesterday evening. it was at 15:14 local time. the Moon was already rather high in the sky at dusk, probably above the top of our picture. the direction was about in the centre of the picture, behind the the thick branches. here's the sky at 17:08 local time in the direction of the camera.
Image

all evening the Moon was out of our direct sight but it was possible to see the glow on the top of the picture. the reflection became visible on the water at 17:08. after that the light spot moved systematically to the right with the movement of the Moon. at times the light spot went off when there was a dry place, but lit up again on the next puddle of water. i couldn't hear the machine before dark.
you can see the movement of the light spot more easily if you play the video in double speed.

the machine noise started at about 17:40 and went on till 18:44. it sounded like an excavator. perhaps they were digging a ditch to let the water away from our new lake. the light spot on the water continued moving to the right. at times there were even two spots when the Moon was reflected from two puddles of water.

the lights went on moving on the water to the right together with the Moon even after the machine noise stopped at about 18:45.

good evening of another grey day!
there were two or three UFO's (unidentified birds), some identified but invisible birds (the swans which Abigyl heard and two other fly-by's of swans), and some unidentified clanging and banging sounds in the dark in the evening for about 2 hours. these sounded to me like antlers being hit against each other. i guess they were red deer battling on the ground. i can't remember hearing these sounds ever before.
in the early morning two (maybe even three?) pygmy owls were call battling in the forest.

good evening!
this was a dull grey day again. few visitors showed themselves. among them were jays (of course) and the highlight of today: a young eagle, probably 2 CY old who stayed on the top for 14 min. the eagle made a wide-spread PS before leaving at 12:39.
Mallards are enjoying the new lake. they were talking there for most of the day, starting from before dawn and finishing at dusk. some swans flew by at 16:42 but stayed invisible. :slap:

hello Liz and Abigyl! :hi:
thank you for the pictures Liz!

i don't think this bird was an eagle at all. it was a much smaller bird. it flew much too fast relative to its apparent size. also the top of the tree didn't shake at all when the bird landed there. the bird also managed to fly away without making any sounds or shaking of the tree. i think it could even be a jay. the tip of the tail was dark like in a jay's tail.
15:46:40 two big birds flew high in the sky over the swan pond to the right. their flight looked like eagles. after they had vanished on the right the male eagle called again far.

the mallards were absent today. yesterday they were talking at the "lake" all day. 8-)

Strange sounds in 11:30:11, 11:30:30.
At 11:35 the sound of working equipment. What can you do in this weather? :puzzled:

From 12:26 the ravens explored the nest. One raven was working with a branch and scared himself.

good evening!

i think there was an excavator working in the forest all day. excavators are waterproof. maybe we shall see the lake disappear..? :whistling:
it rained all day. the ravens were the only visible visitors.
a male eagle called far twice in the morning, at 11:09 and 11:14.

mallards are back. i heard a mallard calling both in the morning and in the evening. also a pygmy owl called in the morning but first in the morning a mystery voice called while flying by the nest. it sounded like a flying frog.
