a chiffchaff (olive green, no stripes on the wings) to the right. for a few seconds she/he was flying like a hummingbird (on the right).

7:44 a wood pigeon flew to the spruce on the right. he sang a verse every now and then.

8:12 the wood pigeon sang again in the spruce on the right.
8:12:06 he flew away. then calls like of a honey buzzard flying closer...
8:13 a jay! was it a jay all the time??


8:16 a grey-headed woodpecker called? not very near. then a little brown bird to the left side of the nest, probably a pied flycatcher.
8:17 more honey buzzard's voices. little birds on the right, the flycatcher (?) and a chaffinch. the chaffinch chased the other.
a little brown bird.

8:22 the grey-headed woodpecker called again.
the little birdies and the woodpecker's calls.


8:28 a juvenile great spotted woodpecker and a little brown bird, a pied flycatcher probably.
the woodpecker examined the camera again. :D

8:32 loud rustling... it was the woodpecker again. this time he/she examined the microphone. the he/she came up and pulled a cone out of one hole between the sticks. then he/she pushed the cone in another hole between the sticks. :laugh:

8:33 a young blue tit.

then many blue tits. they have grown on eagle's downs. :whistling:
then also the little brown bird.
8:35 all flew away.

9:51 a knock and then a distant bang. a stick dropped?


10:20 grey-headed woodpecker(s) called.


later great spotted woodpeckers, too, of course. i didn't make a clip. we have heard those calls enough. :whistling:

i'll go out for a few hours.

12:52 a stick turned on the right side of the nest.
15:08 the stick turned again and slipped a centimetre or two down.
15:11:48 the stick dropped. what a thriller! :rotf:

16:59 a black woodpecker called. then maybe someone else?? yes! i think i can hear an eagle calling very far. a male's voice.

5:35 the bird with the strange voice called. then a crow called. these voices often come together. i begin to suspect that the crow makes the funny voice.

5:37 a wood pigeon flew over the meadow to the spruce on the right.
5:38 he sang.
5:39 again.
5:55 he moved on the branch.
6:02 he sang two verses.
6:06 - 6:08 more.
6:11 - 6:13 more.


6:18 the wood pigeon flew away.

6:31 a little brown bird, probably a female pied flycatcher.

narrow white stripes on the wings.

6:32:01 a chaffinch to the right branch. a male maybe but with a bit dull colours (it's late in the season). he flew to the top. two white stripes on the wing(s), one of them so wide that it could almost be called a spot.

6:32:53 a woodpecker to the trunk opposite the camera. the youngster again.
(i assume that it's the same woodpecker who visits frequently. he/she 'lives' here).

he/she came to lick the camera. :rotf:

6:44 more singing.

7:16 a great spotted woodpecker next to the camera.

he/she has called nearby a long time and continues...
7:24 the woodpecker was on the lower branches far down under the nest.

7:27 a little brown bird with a white stripe on the wing which she was twitching. a pied flycatcher female probably.
7:29 again.
7:30 on the poop branch and then on the right sticks of the nest.

7:37 the little brown bird twitching her wing on the poop branch. then on the back of the nest and then on the left branch.
7:39 she returned.

7:41 little birds under the nest on the right.
7:45 one little bird "dived inside" the nest on the right.

7:46:31 flew by the camera as if she had tried to fly through the screen inside my room. :laugh:

8:05:17 a wood pigeon flew near the top of the spruce on the right. he sang there.
8:06:30 another pigeon flew to the spruce.


8:12 a little bird on the top branch. then on the nest. the pied flycatcher.
8:13:35 one pigeon flew away from the spruce to the right.
8:13:45 the other pigeon took off from the spruce and flew by on the right side of the nest. the little bird was on the nest. the light was very bad.
8:14 the little bird on the left branches.
