Shilute flew by the nest tree when Vents came.


i think that Vents had had a nice lunch.


Vents was as hardworking as usually: he started when he saw the Boss coming.

12:11 there were some ravens' voices from the forest... both listened to them and then Vents flew away.
he flew out to show them some discipline i guess.
Shilute looked at the sky with interest. probably she followed Vents with her eyes.

good morning!
it's quite dark and it almost sounds like rain, not only the running stream downstairs.
a male tawny owl is singing rather near. it started somewhere far but came closer.
7:52 it flew farther and keeps calling there.
7:54 the shadow of the tree suddenly popped out of the darkness.
now it sounds like two owls, both very far.

it was probably a jay, perhaps even the same jay who took selfie later.
14:16 there were a lot of angry jay voices around the nest. they were irritated about something. perhaps the sparrow hawk was there? i couldn't see it though...
then this bird flew to the top and then some other jays flew around in the lower right corner. then someone rustled near the nest and then the jay came to visit.
this is a long version of the rackett which the jays made and one jay visiting.

the stream began to cut and freeze after 4 pm.
now it is dark.

today is the day of Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. exact time is 12:44.

9:51 an eagle called kaa-kaa-kaa... actually it was more like kvee-kvee-kvee.
again. a raven called a little before that. and now again
they are here but don't bother to come to the nest.


9:38 there was a lot of jay talk and a jay flew on the right.

i'll be out for the day.

17:05 it's dark again. nothing else all day.

quite hard wind today.
it's so foggy that the tree tops in the horizon cannot be seen. they disappear in a mixture of mist and clouds.

10:50 the air has become thicker with some slush. some of it is stuck on the camera, too.

yes, it seems that the stream has become unstable.
it's stop & go & stop again. most of the time it's stop.
is it too windy?
