Thanks, Rita :hi:

So Knips does fine and is flying - in the cage.

I am a little surprised that this is also called "flying". But no matter, the main thing is, he can use his wings, if only for the mini-routes in the aviary. Now we have to wait until September, ok. What a big surprise and feast it will be for Knips to discover just how big and wide the sky is in which he can then fly. :headroll:

Slowly Knips should be released into the wild - does anyone know or could kindly ask someone who knows when this will take place?

As balistar said already I have the same concerns about him being confined in a cage and not being able to fly/exercise properly. Will there still be time enough that he learns fishing before winter comes?

:hi: Rita,

I have the same concerns about time enough to learn fishing. Had a look on the Reha-Thread, but last post is still from 15.08.
Tomorrow i will kindly ask on the chat, when all are back. I suppose also others will ask about Knips.

I am very happy that Janis brought the Cam back to work.

Let's see if we will see Bose (and Cilla and Osis ?) tomorrow and how she developed in more than a month.

See you tomorrow

:hi: balistar: Do you mean the chat of this camera? I asked in the Raimis/Milda-chat about Knips - noone answered and noone asked about Knips.

:hi: Rita,
Maris doesn't have any further information about Knips. She said she does not call Ugm B.
So we have to wait patiently....

But Bose shows up in the nest. She looks gorgeous and her voice sounds somehow "grown-up".
:D

September 11

Good morning :hi:

no Bose, no parent seen on nest the last two days, as far as I could have seen.
Still nothing new about Knips.

Thank you Liz and Biker for the nice pictures from 9.9.
Especially the rare wren made me happy to see.

There was another small visitor on 9.9., a blue tit :innocent:

WOW, Liz, very impressive, thanks very much for this video

As we can hear, the long hot summer has had a promising effect on the potency power of the stags
