At 21.41 there was still another fish delivery by Raimis (?).
He brought a half-eaten large fish.
Reinis, who was standing on the inner left branch, jumped to the nest and got it.
He screamed for a few minutes mantling the fish, but as he wasn't hungry and Malda didn't show any interest, he stepped aside and stopped screaming.
Now they will have some fish for breakfast... or at least Reinis will have. He is sleeping with the fish.

21.04.38 a big bird was flying by. He flew from behind the cam over the meadow to the forest.


i'm 99% certain, it was a buzzard, the pattern would fit



BTW: the trushes are a great alarm system to the birds in the forest
the buzzard certainly is looking for dinner...

Beforehand both were sitting on the left branches looking into the sun.

They sure had a night meal. From the last fish wasn't much left.

balistar, i had a feeling that there was something fishy about that tail.
Silky, that's good news about the beginning of today.

2:02 someone made a PS. the Moon was not yet in sight.
i think it was probably Malda because a branch was knocking in her feet. as she moved. i so like the sound of a good bucket-load of eaglet poop landing under the tree.


2:08 footsteps and wild boar voices. oink-oink!

at 3 am the Moon was slowly rising out of the picture.
3:22 Malda made a PS. then she preened... slept... preened... it got lighter...

3:37 Reinis got up and made a PS. he preened a little, lazily. .. and fell asleep standing.
3:44 he lay down. Malda was sleeping.
3:50 she woke up and yawned.
3:53 Reinis got up. he preened a little. - neither of them was really well awake.

the forest was covered with mist. it was very beautiful.

5:22 she stretched her wings again.

5:24 she took the fish. she looked at it for a long time, tilting her head from side to side. then she lost interest and began to look around...

5:30 the Sun began to shine on the forest. wow, how beautiful!
i made a video of this, too. nothing else really happens except a wood pigeon sings nearby as the Sun rises.

5:41 Reinis made yoga. Malda walked away from the fish.
5:42 she jumped to the centre of the nest.

5:47 Malda took the fish and began to eat after ruffling her feathers.
5:54 she finished. there was a lot of the fish left.

5:55 Malda began to make stick work.
6:00 she jumped to the left branch. Reinis complained about it.
6:01 Malda turned and made a PS with a loud landing sound.


btw: her big stick on the right side vanished a day or two ago. i noticed it was missing at some point but forgot to write about it, not to mention to look when and how it happened.

6:21 Malda slipped on the left branch. she sometimes has difficulties in her balance.
6:22:51 an eagle's voice from very far? the eaglets seemed to notice the voice but continued preening.
6:31 Malda slipped on the left branch again.
6:34 she jumped to the nest but then back to the left branch.

6:48 Malda again. it was a kind of a slip again.
6:54 Malda was preening. a chiffchaff sang near the nest (out of sight).
