7.babelbird

Get bird name translations of complete websites (German, English, French, Spanish and scientific).

Use the smaller input field if you want to get a translation of bird names in a complete website. Use the bigger input field if you want to type in a text that contains a single bird name (if you use the bigger field, the one above must be empty).

How to translate all bird names at a website:
- Go to the wanted website
- Click into the URL (web adress) with the right mouse button
- The URL is marked in a darker colour now
- Choose “copy”
- Go to babelbird
- Put the pointer in the smaller window
- Click at the right mouse and choose “paste”
- Choose the languages
- Click at "Translate"

There are often different terms given to Males, Females, Juveniles, or Groups of different animals.
For example a group of hedgehogs is called an array, a female rabbit is a doe, a male alligator is a bull, and a young opossum is called a joey.

15.Google Translator

How to translate a complete website with Google

- Go to the article you want to translate
- Click with the right mouse button into the URL (web adress)
- The URL is marked in a darker colour now

- Click at the right mouse and choose “paste”
- Choose the languages
- Click at "Translate"

The result may be not perfect, but it´s often OK to get a first overview.
Use "babelbird" to translate only the bird names of a website. Copy the URL, paste it into: http://babelbird.bavarianbirds.net/ and click at "Übersetzen".

* those 3 amounts may be interchangeable

kümmekond lindu - about 10 birds;
kakskümmend lindu - (exactly) 20 birds;
paarkümmend lindu - about 20 birds;
kümneid linde/mõnikümmend lindu- tens of birds;
