As it seems that the camera is still working, we may see something of interest and want to record it here.
There is a raccoon dog, eating the old boar hide, now.

First some animals were screaming/howling half an hour ago. Then a dog was barking for minutes.
Now I can hear (with headphones) some steps and cracking, I think an animal is eating.

Kitty KCMO wrote:Not much action today, other than a pair of raccoon dogs earlier. No new food is being put out, so no eagles have arrived for several days, & the ravens only come to pull hair from old boar hides for their nests.
Kitty KCMO wrote:First, these came: Ravens arrived to glean whatever they can find-- bits of leftover food, boar hair for nests, anything that seems useful or interesting.
[at 7.15] And then, this: A white-tailed eagle arrived to see what was available.

the camera still was on in the afternoon, here at 14.46.

it's quiet there, only the wind blows in the treetops.... it seems to be snowing lightly, sleet probably...
Kitty KCMO wrote:Cam is on. It's dark but I can tell the sky is beginning to lighten up because I can make out the form of trees against it. It sounds very windy.
ame wrote:someone is operating the camera and showing us a round-trip on Lake Nova. there just aren't any animals to see or hear. no food, no animals.
Kitty KCMO wrote:It looks like the water in Lake Nova froze overnight. ....
The ravens call to each other over the frozen area. They must find their own food sources now.

this Kitty's picture turned out to be the last one from this season. in the afternoon the Winter eagle camera finally stopped working and the link vanished from the EENET.EE main page. thank you and good bye till next winter!
