Also here a remarkable comeback of the species: 57 White-tailed Eagles were counted this week at Lake Tåkern in Östergötland County.

10.H5N8 confirmed in White Storks at Rostock Zoo. Germany, January 2015
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection, the zoo is closed at least until Monday. Culling of the affected animals is going on – so far 5 geese, 12 storks and 25 mallards. Other animals, among them sea eagles, are tested for the virus at the moment.
