All the Baltic eagles saw the famous videos of the nest and the articles in the newspapers.

All of them want only this nest

Seems like the owners have another nest on their minds; Where are they??? :puzzled:

Robert and Durbe are experienced eagles. When the time comes, they come back and take their nest.

Liz, it's a blue ring only on the right leg as you can see here:

WOW! Brings back sweet memories

nope. on both visits the eagle had two rings. on the first visit the light was so bad that i could not see the colours of the country ring on the right leg, but i think imay have seen a shade of blue in the dark/black ring. the left ring was all black (i think). the left ring was well in sight on many occasions. so no Durberta.

here's the video of the first visit:
viewtopic.php?p=433855#p433855

here's a post with two pictures showing that the first visitor really had two rings.
viewtopic.php?p=433880#p433880
i think it was the same eagle on both visits. the different light just made it look different colour but the stripe patterns on the left wing look the same on both visits. (if i should go on speculating about the young couples i'd guess that the eagle who was on the nest was the girl of this couple, too, like eysterday... :whistling:  )

nighty night!

Thank you, Ame!
I thought it might be possible.
On Norwegian nest the children come to visit.
But Durberta is very special. I believe, that she hunt successfully. she needs Mom and Dad no longer . It would have been nice, to see she again.

both are such beautiful sounds, both the whistling of the wings and the singing. :innocent:
9:30 wings

9:37 singing

9:55 wings again. both times the swans themselves could not be seen.

9:42 a buzzard made a short stop on the tree top an meowed. - or was it a buzzard? just a little earlier a jay buzzed nearby, too. :puzzled:

Jānis Ķuze has written an article about the nest and the visitors here:
http://dabasdati.lv/lv/article/juras-er ... aimniekus/
so far it's in Latvian but hopefully he will soon make a translation to English. in the meanwhile we have to use GT or something like that.
