I saw him too, to the left, and to the right.
But, I'm already in bed and can't make a picture or movie.
Have you maybe the link from the archive aita? I didn't know there is a link from this cam.
Thank you that you will make a movie

As a digital immigrant I prefer to keep to taking notes. If you find this form unsatisfactory, please skip this post (you needn't be told this, need you?).

I kept a thorough watch from 23:00 till 00:20, recording the following sounds (quality headphones at max. volume) and sightings:
23:11:10 churring starts (till 23:11:40)
23:12:10 a croak and a couple of whistles
23:14:40 churring
23:24:50 two whistles
23:30:10 (unclear) a little bit of croaking/growling (?)
23:32:05 two whistles (relatively distant)
23:32:55 two whistles (much closer and clearer)
23:33:20 possibly some croaking/growling
23:33:45 churring in the distance
23:34:20 a whistle, soon followed by distant churring (which continues until 23:35:10)
23:35:25 six whistles
23:35:40 and :50 two clear whistles
23:36:20 a couple of indistinct sounds
23:36:45 more whistling (3 calls, followed by three more isolated calls)
23:37:25 croaking/growling with more churring soon to be heard (bar a few pauses continues till 23:39:36)
23:39:50 whistling again (several calls until 23:40:15)
23:40:53 another whistle
23:41:08 and another
23:41:40 churring, close to the mic, the loudest so far tonight (till 23:42:52)
23:43:20 even louder churring as the cam is moved in search of the performers (Gee, this guy is churring, on and on, straight into the microphone!)
23:45:05 whistling and croaking/growling
23:45:30 more churring
23:46:10 several whistles
23:47:25 the cam operator spots a nightjar landing on what is possibly the far bank of the ditch; the nightjar is soon away, though (hard to say what happened on the ground
23:48:50 a loud whistle
from 23:49:55 croaking/growling (cough-like)
23:51:25 a couple of nightjars (an adult and a youngster?) landing on the near bank of the ditch, more croaking
23:53:00 croaking, 23:53:10 a nightjar flies left to right and seems to land, more croaking follows
23:54:50 a croak and a churr
23:55:20 very loud churring
23:56:00 a nightjar flies just over the ditch, makes a couple of U-turns, probably lands in the ditch
00:01:00 a distant whistle
00:02:22 an indistinct sound
00:03:00 a nightjar flies out of the ditch and to the right
00:05:00 a relatively heavy animal has been walking in the vicinity of the microphone for a good few minutes now; its presence becomes very obvious at 00:05:13 when a twig is broken on the forest floor with a loud crack
00:05:17 a single but very clear bark
00:06:03 a wild boar turns up for a cameo on the other side of the ditch, is out of view at 00:06:18; there is apparently no reaction from the nightjars
around the 00:07 mark and past it, an animal (the boar?) is heard walking in the proximity of the mic
00:07:45 the animal picks up the pace and starts running around, making it into cam view at 00:08:00; the boar comes down into the ditch and stops, provoking some calls from a nightjar (croaking), who flies in a circle over the boar; the boar turns left, stops, then moves on and out of view at 00:08:32 to the accompaniment of the nightjar's croaking; more twigs crack under the boars weight; croaking continues;
00:09:50 the boar picks up the pace again, runs into the ditch at 00:09:53 and off to the right, out of cam view at 00:09:59; croaking resumes at 00:10:17 as more sounds of broken twigs on the forest floor are heard; the croaking continues (with major pauses) until 00:11:20
00:12:20 a couple of distant calls followed by distant churring
00:15:25 a distant whistle
00:15:55 distant croaking
00:16:35 more croaking from afar
00:17:45 more of the same
00:18:45 the cam zooms out
00:19:35 whistling

My shift comes to an end at 00:20.

Nightjar whistling at 00:25 and then again at 00:28-00:29 (closer).

aita: Yes, it's Ok
Thank you for the link.
But it is only from the nightjar, have you also maybe the the main link of all webcams
I think I have removed that long time ago, stupid me.

Think you for the Movie:
I was surprised to see a wild boar. As long as there was one for the camera on almost all webcams no longer.
I remember the wild pig webcams, which were so much fun. But yes .... most have been eliminated.

I think at 2.28 of the movie that either a Nightjar flew over the bushes, or maybe the Blackbird with alarm calls?

Marbzy : thank you for the night shift

:hi:

00:03:00 until 00:03:31 (non-nightjar noises ignored)

03:12:12 a couple of whistling calls by a nightjar
03:12:48 a churr (loud, 7 seconds)
03:13:26 another churr (again loud, 7 seconds)
03:13:56 a churr, some wing flapping and a whistle
03:14:21 a loud whistle
03:14:45 another churr (with less variation and a less distinct quality), continues till 03:15:52, fades away with a bit of fairlz distant wing flapping
03:16:27 several whistling calls
03:17:30 steps on the forest
03:18:00 a whistle
03:18:20 another whistle, followed by a churr, two more whistles, churr, whistle, whistle, churr - there seems to be some overlap between the sounds, suggesting that more than one bird could be responsible
03:19:00 a distinct churr (9 seconds)
03:19:18 a distinct churr (5 seconds)
03:19:32 more churring (less distinct) with an occasional whistle in between or during the churrs until 03:20:25, then again from 03:20:38 until 03:21:00
03:21:45 some wing flapping
03:21:57 very clear churring until 03:23:09 (a few pauses in between, ends with some wing flapping)
03:23:22 two loud whistling calls
03:24:16 two whistling calls
03:24:41 one loud whistling call
03:24:52 loud churring begins; it continues, with pauses, till 03:26:10
03:27:10 a nightjar flies right to left low over the ground and probably lands just out of view with a bit of croaking
03:27:25 another nightjar flies into view, right to left, makes a U-turn and leaves the view to the right (03:27:28), joined most likely by the bird that was seen close to landing 15 seconds earlier
03:27:49 a whistle - followed by another, much clearer whistle
03:27:57 churring: two short but loud calls are succeeded (answered?), at 03:28:04, by a more distant churr that continues while a loud whistling call comes at 03:28:07 from somewhere close to the mic; the another relatively distant churr continues while a whistling call is made close to the mic
03:28:17 a nightjar descends from right to left and lands in the ditch
03:28:41 another fairly distant churr - until 03:30:37, ends in wing flapping, while at 03:30:32 the nightjar that landed in the ditch two minutes earlier, flies out of the ditch and away to the left

As these birds usually come to rest between 03:40 and 04:00, I'm looking forward to reviewing the next half-hour.

Aitäh, aita; thanks, Fleur.

And here, to complete the account, comes the remaining 29 minutes (from 00:03:31 to 00:04:00):

03:31:02 a whistle
from 03:31:16 the sound of a broken engine plus some croaking (some whistling not made by nightjars), a clear whistling call by a nightjar at 03:31:46, more croaking follows
churring from 03:32:07 until 03:32:59, more from 03:33:13 till 03:33:40
03:34:22 churring resumes (several successive calls), while a nightjar flies into view from the right and lands next to a tree on the right at 03:34:36, but then takes off again just six seconds later (03:34:42), again to the right; churring persists with minor pauses until 03:35:26, resumes again at 03:35:38, goes on, with pauses, till 03:37:28
from 03:38:16 a nightjar is heard croaking with increasing intensity; churring starts again at 03:38:34 (just seven) seconds, but almost directy into the mic; 03:38:57-03:39:07, 03:39:12-03:39:25 and 03:39:50-03:39:58 more churring very close to the mic
03:40:40 two whistles followed by two more isolated whistles a few seconds later
03:41:36-03:41:47 churring, then a whistle
04:42:22 croaking, more croaking from around 04:42:40 until 04:42:50
04:43:30 isolated croaking calls
04:44:15 more croaking calls, more concentrated; the calls continue (not too far from the microphone) until 03:45:05, then there are more of them from 03:45:25 till 03:45:50, again some croaking around and past 03:46:00 till 03:46:55
03:48:10 a few more croaks

This frog-like croaking, as has been observed on this forum, is the most common sound at the time of our nightjars' morning reunions.

It seems that they called it a night at 03:48. There were no sounds from that point till 04:00 that I was able to ascribe unambiguously to a nightjar.

EDIT
There is a road in the woods where cars and tractors are driving.
it is in the lower plane, it is not visible in the camera image.
Now that I got it. I'm no longer angry.
