Indeed, it was, Solo
Still more in the first moment, when they were still more than 30.

And what i am very glad about, our two storklets have both fledged successfully the last two weeks. When we think about the many, which died in the wet and cold week in May......

There are at least two nests with five fledged storklets this year: in Sokolka and Jasien.

I hope Balistar "your" big chicks are still O.K. - I wish them all good travelling to wintering areas.

They were also very successfully areas with nests also with more than 3 chicks and areas were it was very sad also in one country - one year is the situation better another worse.

Yes, as Estonians say "Years are not brothers".
More often storks have three chicks in the nest, sometimes four and rather seldom the five ones. Last year in Sokolka the parents removed two chicks, this year they left all the five ones.

The cam in Libstat is off again, it stopped before the only chick was about to fledge.

Solo ... I still have a question on referring to the stork with GPS from Makov.
There were 4 storks, why did only three get a transmitter? Financial questions ....

16.11 The storklet is now back, it is standing near the nest and eating fish. I wonder who dropped food on the roof.

:hi: Asteria,

I'm also checking on this miraculous WS. It was very lucky and now I hope it will have a nice flight to the south.

Where are parents? left already?

Abigyl wrote: August 8th, 2019, 7:55 pm:hi: SOLO! is there an important age difference between the 3 Makov WS and the last one? I see it still on the tower.
:hi: Abigyl,
the fourth/youngest chick spent more days on nest usually also in wild-nests.

The two eldest hatched: May 14/15, the fourth chick hatched: May 18.

Today the storklet repaired the nest, then flew away and then both parents came and also did some nestworks. Now(9.21) the parents are staying in the nest.

Asteria, Solo :hi:

Why is a young WS still in Makov?
I do not think so because he was the last hatched, he has been well wound up.

Another question; What happened to these two swans, why are they in Makov?
