At 7:44 after a long silence, the cries of the eaglets began.
At 8:02-8:04 fish song?
At 8:36 after the break screaming.
i think that the little bird was a spotted flycatcher again. the first thing he did was to pick up a tiny stick or straw (big compared to his own size!) and drop it down. even little birds help to destroy the nest! :rotf:

the eaglets cried i did not record because it is enough to know that they were there.
8:02 was a fish song probably. in the end the grey-headed woodpecker came in. i made a video of that earlier.

the cries at 8:36 actually started at 8:37 (if i heard correct). there's a video of those calls (at least a part of them) above.

11:11 the crying started again.
And the bird jumped out of under the "nest."

i thought that those few seconds are not so important... we know that the eaglets were there and you have written down here the time when they started.

i had quite forgotten the other thing, sorry! :slap:

At 20:37 Mika was flying from left to right?
yes, it sounded like that. i could not see him but his voice seemed "fly" from left to right. he cried a lot... also Rika called and even Milda called at 20:38.
Miks made a short pause but 20:40 he started crying again. he sounded disappointed. :slap:
edit: i started updating the playlist and found another video with almost the same title but a little longer. :puzzled:
it seems that i already made this once, yesterday. yes, its here:

while i was making this video i found one more recording from last around midnight. i was glad because i thought i might be able to find Abigyl's sound, but no: 9 min was still missing and Abigyl's sound was in that time window. :faint:

I'm sorry! I have a high fever. I'm writing something wrong, I guess. :slap: I just clarified the time. That doesn't mean you have to make videos about those minutes.
But it would be better if you told me when your recording failed. Then I'd make a video of the "marten". She made a noise like a squirrel for a minute.
yes, it sounded like that. i could not see him but his voice seemed "fly" from left to right.

14:37 Rika called and cried. then an unusual sound: church bells. this we can hear only few times per year. - Latvia became very secularized during the Soviet regime.
14:40 - 15:04 eaglets called many times.

15:16 -15:19 eaglets called and cried.

16:43:34 a call. Miks?
16:50:52 Rika.
.
.
17:12:30 Rika.
17:13:27 Miks?
16:43 - 17:14 a lot of eaglet's calls during a long period of time. they didn't actually sound hungry. many calls i found afterwards.

17:16 Rika Called.
17:30 more calls and cries but not for a long time. a feeding maybe?

18:41:55 Rika called(?) ... äsch, i found only a wasp. :slap:

Sonchik, your eyes were again sharper than mine.

19:15 Miks started to cry. feeding?
then a lot of eaglet's calls, mainly Rika i think. not anxious but more like lazy calls. also Milda called two or three times till 19:41.

19:59:54 Rika called
20:00:15 Miks?
20:00:43 Rika

20:01:30 Milda? or a jay?
20:03:21 and 57 Rika.

20:16:33 Milda?
20:18:05 Milda? then 39 Miks. Rika is crying all the time ?

20:23:48 Milda
20:26:54 calls.

the above listed calls i heard live. afterwards i found many more. i'm sure that i didn't find all, but it is not necessary. they would not change the great picture.
19:41 - 20:27 Rika called more often than Miks. also Milda seemed to calls rather often. that is unusual.

21:08:18 Miks called. then a crow called.

then a parent to top branch. Milda? - i think it was Milda. she flew from the opposite side of the meadow. she had perhaps some argument with the crow.
Image

didn't Miks see the parent? i expected him to burst into loud cries. :puzzled:
this is indeed extraordinary. 8-)
21:12 the parent flew away. still no cries. only the pygmy owl called again.

August 26

good morning!
2:29 a female tawny owl called far.
https://youtu.be/NvKB0JzpXH8

4:40 a male tawny owl called far. Biruta Lapa in YT chat heard this. very well spotted!
https://youtu.be/9WdP9ysvVqE

5:08 a female tawny owl called.
5:28 a female and a male tawny owls called. i can't say if they talked to each other. both were not quite close to the camera but they may have been on opposite sides.
5:33 a female tawny owl called.
5:39 a pygmy owl called.
5:41 again. - Biruta Lapa in YT chat heard these calls, too. thank you! :2thumbsup:

6:13 - 6:52 both eaglet called many time. both were far from the nest. the parents called quite many times but they didn't actually sing together. they were much closer to the nest than the eaglets.
a parent flew by at 6:43 (like Ajeta has noticed, too). Raimis called before and after this fly-by in the same place so Milda was the one who flew by.

mega2 in DDF has some nice pictures of the tail.
https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... da#p231368

i probably didn't find all the calls, but i think enough anyway. all eagles seemed to stay in their places except Milda who flew by.

6:52 eaglets cried far.
6:56 a parent called. - after that i didn't find eagle's voices. :puzzled:
6:58 a little bird visited.

7:06 little birds visited. there was also another bird who was making interesting voices. it sounded like a bigger bird, probably a jay rehearsing a new song. 8-)
7:07 more little birds and more song practice.

Sonchik wrote: August 26th, 2019, 9:58 am ... And at 7:15 birdie.
At 7:33 a very noisy bird. It was visible on the right branch until the parent's song at 7:39.
7:15 - 7:38 little birds visiting. i think there were spotted flycatchers again, but it was difficult to see because the sunlight came from an unpleasant direction.

the noisy bird at 7:33 was a nuthatch.

the eagle's call at 7:39
i can't quite figure out who it was. Raimis probably? :puzzled:

8:10 Rika called nearby.
8:12:24 Rika called.

8:18 little birds visited, probably spotted flycatchers, but i can't be sure. the sunlight pointed in the eyes and the nest was in deep shadow.

8:27 a greater spotted woodpecker visited. it seemed to be a juvenile, maybe the same bird who has been here earlier.
