Nele is clearly not very satisfied with the situation..

17:31 poor NELE now is patiently waiting for a fish more than 2 hours,
every now and then she is calling
"please, Mommy, Daddy, i'm hungry"

and she is so modest with only 1 fish a day ....



don't give up, Nele, Daddy or Mommy will come and bring you a fish


18:00 almost 3 hours now the poor thing is waiting
- there, on the left, someone is coming..... is it Daddy or Mommy with a fish for NELE ?
no, it is the always hungry Mart


18:00 MART landed - NELE watch out, you know MART can eat up to 4 fish


18:30 both are still calling for the fish....

Now both he and Nele are calling.

3 of the 4 tagged ospreys are already on their way, Elena, Vova and Kalle.

19:00 still both, MART and NELE, are waiting and calling for the fish
poor NELE is now almost 4 hours on nest, waiting for a fish



slowly, i get a little bit worried....


19:23 now also PILVI lands in the nest


19:23 IVO is coming, NELE is quite agitated and stretches her neck long



watch her empty crop, NELE has not eaten today at all, i think .....

19:23 Pilvi landed, Ivo followed with a HUGE fish and ... Mart grabbed it , after waiting about 4,5 hours Nele again without fish

19:34 Nele tried to grab the fish from Mart and Mart decided that it's better to fly away and left with his huge fish

19:49 Ivo brought another huge still alive fish and Nele got it

Sorry, but Pilvi hid Mart and Nele behind her.


And the fish as always goes to Mart.


I think the sisters were offended.

20:50 When Nele leaves with the fish, her talon (or the fish) is stuck behind a stick for a moment.
Edit: I think she grabbed a stick together with the fish. She flew in a circle behind the dead tree when she left.
I think she's oke.

So great to still be able to enjoy this nest with these three here to still entertain us, although all day I have been wanting to move those big sticks from across the nest.

So exciting to see migration. A huge huge HUGE flock just flew over my house in Northern Spain. I couldn´t tell what they were but it is so beautiful and amazing to see.

19:50 when IVO delivered the fish for NELE
she was so excited that she again was biting in his toe


but that looked dangerous:
IVO flew off, while NELE still had his toe in her beak


there he flies, i hope his toe on left foot is ok
