I’m glad you did remember :)

Well, it’s more of a municipal issue and the casualty isn’t sporadic..

The nature must be the big pond in 50 m from the resque station. Somehow young ducks were not caught and fly here and there themselves but the cygnets were moved. :puzzled:

we released them on the Otava River, where they belong now before the winter, they're fine

The cygnets learnt how to eat from the feeder bowl and chase others away. I don't know what else can they do. They don't fly and don't get food themselves, so they have to learn now.

They were not ringed.

I loved them... but saw that they are eating all the food like giant food processors

I'm sure that they are strong enough to survive at the river :2thumbsup:

It looks like grey herons don't come in Makov now and the gulls may feel safe. :loveshower:

Marushka's leg today looks better and she even stood on it.

Black storks are separated from the feeder and I don't know if they ever caught anyone. Honzik ate a duckling this summer. Snehurka caught a yellowhammer two years ago near the pond and nearly caught the nuthatch(luckily it escaped and next day was seen on the feeder again). Yes, storks and herons are birds of prey too.

- BS weren't separate years ago - I saw the male Toník catch one sick greenfinch (Chloris chloris)
- Honzík don't ate the duckling - I saw this scene (also Veronika, Makováček, wrote that isn't true)
- who know if the same nuthatch
- if you know they are predators, why you wrote Sněhurka isn't angel :puzzled:
