Re: Uhu Webcam (Germany, Eifel) 2020
Both owls were flying towards the nest, but only Lotte stopped on the ledge.

21. January
17:40
It sounds like Lotte and Leo were again close to each other not far from the traditional nest place before Lotte came in.
Lotte had again this little twig for some moments
And *woushhhh* - take off! There was a little more conversation after Lotte had taken off, but further away

Very poor view, neither Lotte nor Leo's voice. Who it was?

21.February
18:23
Lotte appears on traditional nestplace, scratching the nest bowl
She finds something old, an ancient pellet or some bone?
Listening to the sounds after she took off, I think she met Leo on the lower nestplace, I don´t know whether they mated (didn´t hear this typical squeaking), but I suppose that she got at least some food gift from Leo. He was caught by the cam operator short before he took off.
Maybe he wants to lure her to the lower nest place

Thank you, Ferenz
Very nice visitors, but a bit too much "traffic" at the traditional nest place for my taste

Mamicja, this eagle owl was also here yesterday evening, see video 41 in diary. This evening it seemed like two females could be heard, Lotte and another one. Competition? Where's Leo?

Good evening
I see that all events are already covered by now, but I´ll post my two cents anyway today
18:15
Lotte arrives at traditional nest place - she came from somewhere high up left side
Digging and scratching

Leo delivers a mouse for his Lotte
He announced it already quite long before he delivered it .... I think it was a bit much ballyhoo for such a small mouse
But Lotte seemed to be very pleased about it though

Lotte had a little "fight" with a thorny twig that she didn´t want to have in the nest bowl
She began to preen her feathers. Sometimes she makes funny faces while preening
