17:25 Mating ! :loveshower:

They said on page 1 that it's a young couple and perhaps they won't breed this year

This couple is very active, many matings per day  Feels like they'll surprise all of us, like Milda's 1st eggy.

I may have missed something, but I've only seen one full mating. Other attempts unsuccessful. The female does not lift the tail and discounts off the male.
Milda and Raimis had that for the first spring. Then they didn't have eggs.
Let's look.
The nest is very interesting.

this is a very nice picture of their tails. it can be seen that the backside of the female is still spotty and the white colour is not clean yet. Janis wrote that the female is probably too young to actually breed, but they get good exercise for the next summer.

17.55 I'm not experienced enough to tell whether this was a successful mating or not, however it seemed a bit clumsy to begin with.. :innocent:

The story of the attempts is written on the feathers of the female.

From 15:26 till 15:31 a bird and later two (eagles?) call in the distance. Milda looks annoyed and calls back twice.

March 10

10:20 Both came in the nest almost simultaniously.
After 30 seconds a successful mating. He had a bit of trouble climbing on het back like before. Again the male sits on the female's back for at least 5 seconds afterwords

Then they messed around a little bit with the small sticks. Female flew away at 10:23

They were here also earlier.
