Some of the White Storks are already back in Germany: little Webcam of a nest in BW
And there is said, that about 150 white storks have stayed in Germany this winter.

And an ornithologist had seen about 3 three weeks ago the cranes flying over Hessen, which he usually sees in March at the beginning of spring. He said, he never had seen them before so early and is really curious whether they are right and it will stay so warm or what will happen with this crazy (winter) wheather.

Unfortunately all the latest news from Makov are negative
1. One of the gulls was attacked by the marten("the first call" sounded 5 months ago https://www.facebook.com/groups/1098007 ... 399008477/).
2. Both coots ran away again
3. Miki was placed in the aviary again because his leg is ill again
4. Today Marushka was again separated from Honzik and placed in the aviary for further treatment. If her leg is not get better, there will be no breeding this year.

Today at 15.25 Honzik was taken somewhere too.

Honzik was back and a new female ringed stork in Makov appeared near the pond. In FB she was called Elishka. She is not a new partner for Honzik. They are not a couple: "You are alone and I am alone". Honzik is waiting for Marushka and Elishka is not interested in Honzik.

1. Bohunka returned.

2. Bohuš is not coming back, but a nice man came. Nice honeymoon.

3. Bohuš is here! Big brawl! Bohuš is the winner. The couple are together again.


4. Bohunka has the first egg, Bohuš throws the foreign egg away.


5. Bohunka has a second egg, Bohuš also throws away.


6. The marten came to find out why it is raining big eggs (the chimney is 31 meters high!)


7. Bohunka has the third egg, the couple are happy.

Now Bohuš warms two eggs.

Vejirka has been staying on quarantine since Friday. She had problems with walking, couldn't go out of the pond for a long time. Vet came to see her, made some tests and placed her on quarantine.

Today a strange female visited Makov and stayed in the nest with Honzik. She was ringed in Chechia but not in Makov.

Where is the storks cam? I lost the one they gave some months ago...

no nesting this year so no streaming (female Maruška has problems with her leg :-( - she is in aviary)

it will by very probably change from bird feeder to black stork nest - they incubating 4 eggs info from Apr 25

there have been 6 chicken.
and one of the four is still smaller and in my opinion may be still in danger sometimes, but fortunately the youngest is very confident and not weak :)
