9:28 Milda rolled the eggs. then she rolled them again. it's difficult to say if this was two normal rolls one right after the other, or one extra-long roll.

aaahhh, i didn't understand, sorry.Sonchik wrote: ↑March 26th, 2020, 8:35 am Good Morning!
Of course, after all from 19:26 already passed 12 hours. But before that time it was impossible to unwind. In another stream of LDF, the same thing happened. viewtopic.php?p=716594#p716594
Apparently, you didn't pay attention to the year I said (2019). This year, Milda didn't do it with her head under her wing. I only saw it twice last year. I hope I find the video a second time.
it was too early for me.
but i have all yesterday's recordings left. would you like me to upload them to Youtube for you? it is a lot of material, 1 Gb per hour.

i found a woodcock flying by the nest at 5:10. the voice is a fairly loud frog-like croak followed by a soft high-pitch psst!
the whole verse sounds like grrk - grrk - grrkpsst!
it can be heard here twice.
the male woodcock (Scolopax rusticola) is flying around the perimeter of his territory singing like this. usually only the croaks can be heard, partly because they are louder and partly because they match with human hearing better than the high-pitch psst's. during these territorial flights it's usually so dark that the bird himself can be seen only occasionally against the sky. i remember that i have managed to get a blurred picture of a woodcock here only once. the voice can be heard very often till rather late in the summer.

10:22 some noise from the forest...
Milda looks slightly worried.
sounds like mechanical noise?? an excavator or a tree harvester with caterpillar tracks
Milda decided not to get alarmed by the noise.

a change at some point while i was away.
12:53 Milda got up and flew out. - this does not happen often: a screenful of eagle.
25 s later Raimis landed on the left branch.
he rolled the eggs and then covered them.
then he tried to get that one stubborn stick in a better place. the stick has troubled both eagles during the past days.

13:16 Raimis rolled the eggs.
13:27 again.
on both times he turned to a new position, perhaps not rolling the eggs much.

16:28 Raimis rolled one egg, again, as far as i could see it. he does not even touch every egg on each time, but i suppose they get somewhat shuffled when he lays down back on them.
- the stick is still bothering him.
16:52 "the same procedure as always."
17:02 a wood pigeon sang near the nest.

Raimis has been doing this since 18:03:35. I think he's taking a very active part in this process.
