Hi! I watched last season with cutie, Grinks. However, I am wondering, is siblicide high here like with the Sea Eaglets, or is it more in line with 'typical' (not escalted kind) Bald Eagle sibling rivalry? Can we expect only one to make it with a two chick nest or is there minimal competition? Again, I only watched last season so I am unfamiliar with two being in the nest and how that fares with sibling rivalry. It probably will determine if I tune in again this season. Thanks!

Hi Alicia!

Siblicide is very common in LSE nest. Too common.
As for me I prefer the nests where LSE female incubates only one egg because I can watch them without any fear.
There was recorded in Slovakia that the breeding pair could raise 2 eaglets in some cases ... so there is stil some "kind od hope" - but very little.
