12:07 The chick may not appear too confident, but T53 is no bully (anymore)

12:11 The white-headed guest likes sticks (this stick will eventually slip out of the vulture's grasp and down the cliff)

16:45 OK, let's go and see some other flats in this neighbourhood, honey
Image

16:46 And one by one they left

16:51 The camera operator then got bored of all these visits

The chick, with no other birds in view, is right in the centre of the image, all alone and exposed on his/her ledge.

22:08 Good night, little griffon

The chick is now 104 days old. Though foreign visits to the nest have become the norm over the past few days, visitors to the nest are showing less aggression than they did say a month or even two weeks ago.

Have a good weekend, everybody!

Hello Marbzy :hi:

So is the chick now accepted, so to speak?
I'm surprised that this nest seems to be pretty lonely. Griffon vultures are colony breeders and very sociable. If I understand that correctly.

It will fly out soon ... . :innocent:

Have a nice Sunday Marbzy for you too!

Between 13:00 and 13:25 the chick engages in lively exercise which involves jumping (both high jump and long jump) and flapping the wings, extending the wings as though for gliding, and picking up sticks from the ground.

13:27 The chick's developing into an exemplary juvenile with a couple of bare patches at the base of the neck
Image

13:55 Here comes Dad
Image

13:58 This is the first visit at the nest (at least) since 9:34
