17:16 (nearly 17) piep-piep-piep!

i would have been much happier if the previous eaglet had been Reinis. Malda we have seen here today.

Excuse me, but I am very confused about the names and genders of the magnifique eaglets. Reinis or Reina, male or female? Or is it different names in different countries?
Malda sounds for me like a girl? Is she a female? :help:

Names are always made up of two genders: for a boy and for a girl. But, names are given at an age when it is impossible to guess what sex the Eaglets are. We can't be 100% sure that the Eaglets belong to any gender at all. So we can call them whatever we like. These are conventions.
Initially, the name Reinis is male, but I think it's a girl, so I call she Reina.

Sonchik wrote: July 11th, 2020, 5:12 pm The stripes on the tail of the Malda are not symmetrical but like disposable white knives, directed by the blades to the center of the tail. Reina's stripes are symmetrical. Malda's voice is high. Reina's is lower.

19:35 one of the kids flew home  Raimis to the sugar branch
Eaglet is eating the fish. Raimis flew out.
Is it Malda or Reinis? :help:

I would really like to see Reinis in the nest, we have not seen him, could it be he flew too low and needs time to fly higher to the nest level?

viewtopic.php?p=751083#p751083
the parent flew from far right over the meadow and then made a circle around the nest.
the eagle was carrying something big.
apparently the parent was looking for the eaglets from near the nest first. when nothing was heard the parent continued to the left.

19:34 screaming approaching from the forest.....
19:35 Malda flew home and took the fish from Raimis. Raimis jumped to the right branch. he wiped his beak clean. then he flew away.
Malda began to eat....
19:50 she finished and began to look in the sky....
19:59 buzzard's voices? Malda was looking in the sky... and she cheeped a few times.
20:00 she began to eat again.
20:16 she finished. - i think there were buzzard's voices still. :puzzled:
