08:43 This visitor must be 2E5 (his/her beak is much lighter than J80's):
Image

08:43 There are no customers at the restaurant:
Image

09:04 Mom is about to jump:

09:04 But on this occasion she only makes it as far as the rim:
Image

09:04 And now it's over to the chick and 2E5:
Image

09:11 The chick reaches out for 2E5's neck...:

09:12 ... and starts to preen the visitor:
Image

09:22 Then 2E5 returns the favour...:
Image

09:23 ... and preens the nestling's coverts:

09:23 It's all good-natured, but only up to a point:
Image

09:23 It looks as though 2E5 has crossed the line but the chick's aggressive posture has more to do with staying up on the rim instead of ending up down on his/her back:
Image

10:51 Friends again?

10:54 The chick's offer of preening services appears somewhat threatening:
Image

11:03 2E5's beak is fairly light, while his/her ruff is fairly long but no longer brown; the pupil of the left eye can be identified against the iris. According to the criteria set out in: Zuberogoitia I. et al. The Flight Feather Molt of Griffon Vultures (Gyps fulvus) and Associated Biological Consequences. Journal of Raptor Research 47 (3), 292-303, we should be looking at a bird about 5-6 years old:

13:35 Another precious piece of bone for the nestling:

13:35 Mom ends up on the other side of the nest; the bone ends up on the nest floor:
Image

13:50 Watch me jump, says the chick:
Image

13:50 No, this isn't going to be just another ordinary jump:

13:50 This jump involved turning around in the air:
Image

13:50 The landing...:

13:50 ... is succeeded by a series of ferocious jumps:

13:52 Something's got the chick excited/angry:
Image

13:52 The feathers gradually come down:

14:47 He's got make room for Mom, who's bringing a new item for the nestling (this piece of bone or perhaps cartilage looks way too large):
Image

14:47 As is so often the case, the gift is dropped to the floor:
Image

14:48 But as soon as Mom picks it up again, the chick turns around like crazy and tries to prevent Mom from taking anything away:

14:49 Finally, the chick receives some more water:
Image

14:50 I find it impossible to say how large a proportion of those bone fragments supplied by Mom is actually ingested by the nestling:

15:55 Three Egyptian vultures broke into the restaurant:
Image

Breaking news: the chick has fledged. Well: "left the nest" or "fallen out of the nest" seems more apt :D

16:00 The chick jumps onto the far side rim:
Image

16:00 Oops! The momentum carries the chick overboard:

16:13 The nestling puts his/her head up :innocent:

16:13 Angry griffons at the station (Mom and J80 are the two vultures with L-shaped necks):
Image

16:14 J80 is particularly adventurous this afternoon:
Image

16:14 A confrontation between Mom and J80 looks inevitable (but their aggression is actually aimed at the two spectators on the right:

16:17 Enter 2E5 (in style):

16:17 2E5's cameo starts with a rude jab in T56's back:

16:17 Mom's still there (the leftmost bird):
