18:49 Mr L returned! he flew to the outer left branch. he began preening.

- i could not see his tail properly well, but i have no reason to think that it was anyone else. the tail looked "good" enough for his tail.
i made a looong video of him preening on the branch.

19:24 Mr L continued preening on the outer left branch and showed his tail rather well.

19:30:01 a jay flew to the top.

19:30:06 a black woodpecker flew by in sight for a change and called.

20:30:about 30 a mallard flew by. ... or was it a grey heron?? :puzzled:


20:49 a mallard called. this was a certain mallard. 8-)

there's nice moonlight over the forest but the Moon is out of our view, too high.
i didn't find more calls (and i didn't look for them very carefully).

23:25 some mute swans flew over.

the eagles are at home. :D

earlier:
3:22 a tawny owl female called in the forest.


4:56 someone walked in the forest breaking branches. no voice.

5:57 - 5:58 a tawny owl female called in the forest. this time she was farther than on the earlier time.

6:59 an eagle flew to the top. a wing was partly visible in the top right corner.

then a male voice called. a female voice replied from the forest. the male called more.

7:12 Milda flew in from the direction of the swan pond. she brought a stick.

a few seconds later Mr L landed on the nest.

Milda started nest work but Mr L jumped to the left branch.

7:14 Mr L jumped back down to the nest and back to the left branch.

he turned around many times on the branch. he didn't seem to be able to decide which way he wanted to be. - jays and woodpeckers were calling.
7:16 he returned to the nest.

7:17 Milda went to the top branch.

a jay shrieked loud nearby. a black woodpecker called. Mr L dug the nest. then also the bird with the strange voice called.

7:20 Milda preened on the top branch. she shook her feathers and a cloud of downy feathers flew away from her.

both eagles were looking at the forest around.

7:21 both flew away over the meadow. first Milda took off, then Mr L followed her.
