good evening!
it was a grey day today and the temperature was on the warm side. some of the snow on the nest melted.
the eagles were heard calling three times after noon, but each time they were really far.

8:33 Arrival of an eagle on the right. (I had posted that in the Sliteres thread)
I think it is a sub adult! There are dark tips on every tail feather

good morning!
thank you for the reports Liz!
what a winter wonderland.
10:10 the bird was a nuthatch, doing her/his "yackety yack" again. it's such a loud voice that i heard it to the next room.
10:27:57 a great tit on the left branch.
10:28:18 voice of a crested tit.
10:29 a great tit on the tip of the right branch. the eagle is still in the Observation Oak. the tail looked indeed like a young eagle's tail when he/she landed on the top of the spruce.
btw: 9:11:56 the eagle pooped.
9:26:52 the eagle pooped again. then he/she took off and flew to the Observation Oak.

10:47:26 the eagle flew away from the Obs Oak.

11:00:58 - 11:00:01 a strange eagle visited the tip of the right branch.
.... maybe that was a little exaggerated, maybe it was only an 1 s visit.
no, 11:00:57 - 11:00:59.
the tail was not very "dirty".
edit: the tail was actually really dirty, meaning that it was dirty with mud. that can be seen clearly against the fresh snow in the pictures by Liz. there wasn't, however, much dark colour in the tips of the tail feathers, so the eagle wasn't very young.
it must have been the same stranger any way. i think that he/she saw the camera and fled.
