Hello :hi: !

I miss Mait and his daily food delivery. I know that he doesn't read this forum.

Perhaps someone tells him a lot of greetings  . That would be nice.

Thank you.

Bad news is that swine fever reached Saaremaa and we were afraid that even Red deer feeding ground and cam wouldn't be opened too. :puzzled: Good news: it was opened and sometimes boars come there. :loveshower:

The situation for wild boars in Estonia has not changed much. The English news of ERR TV have an article about it:

“One can measure the greatness and the moral progress of a nation by looking at how it treats its animals” (Mahatma Gandhi)

It does not look like we will get back "our" boar camera in the near future: http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/en/node/1313
Really sad situation!

On the front page of Loodukalender there is an article that Looduskalender is now 10 years old.
http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/node/2803
As it is still in Estonian , I've tried to give a rough translation of a passage ... "After the storks have left, abstinence symptoms (or as we call it empty nest syndrome) may prevail. Looduskalender has taken care that this "landing might be soft" - cams at the feeding places of wild boars and eagles as well as more surprises will follow."
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOODUSKALENDER and ALL YOUR TEAMS! :loveshower: :loveshower:
It's great work you do. Thank you all.

Summi, thank you for that translation! We have to wait for the English version.
No-one seems to be certain of the exact date of the anniversary, but it is about now, or thereabouts.

Unless the reason for its absence has changed, then probably not!

Meanwhile, I revisited those early years on the PigCam

I miss the wild boars. Will they ever come back online. The gatherings, the feedings and unusual photos of whoever that ventured in their area. Are they still down with a disease" I can't figure out them being off air so long.
