Uhu Webcam (Germany, Eifel) 2022/2023/2024

New start with hope and joy!

After the devastating flood desaster on 14. July 2021, where many many people in the Ahrtal lost their lives, their homes and economic safety and will still suffer for years from this catastrophe, the re-start of the owl cam is a small bright light on the horizon.
My thoughts and best wishes are with all the people in the Ahrtal and many thanks to EGE Eulen an helpers who make the new start of Lotte and Leo´s webcam possible.

Lotte and Leo are the resident couple for the seventh year now

Their territory is in Germany, Eifel area, near the river "Ahr"

:hi:

Hello everyone - a bit late, but a very happy New Year to you all!

Wow, what a joy, Lotte and Leo´s cam is re-started! :loveshower:
Still with some hickups, but we have to take it like it is, it is so or so a little miracle that the cam can be back so soon ...

No Eagle Owl yet, but a well known four-legged furry inhabitant was here :D

Mouse was back at 19:31, it vanished downstairs

New entry from Stefan Brücher in the diary at EGE Eulen Webpage

https://uhu.webcam.pixtura.de/wieder-online-2/

------

The camera had made a turn to look at the valley, that´s how it looks now ....

Image

Picture is from EGE Eulen archives, I have no own recordings from that time, too many breaks in transmission and I am not always at my pc to restart ...

Wow - you caught him, romy! :loveshower:

He looks quite like our handsome Leo, ring on left leg, doesn´t he???

Connection is still lousy, but let´s hope for improvement

I am unable to get Live Cam. When I pull it up I get "The media can not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." Any ideas for some help.

Hi MargoMo,

we have all the same problem, no one can access the cam, because currently live-streaming is not possible at all or only for some hours and even then with permanent interruptions.
Hopefully the situation will improve, but after the whole infrastructure was destroyed at the flood desaster last July, everything is difficult ...

Streaming has to happen via mobile network (LTE) and this seems still to be difficult in the valley ....

I am sure Stefan Brücher and helpers will do their best to solve problems, but some are not in their hands and all we can do is to wait with patience.
