the rest of the day it was raining. in the afternoon something happened with the transmission from the forest. there were many breaks in the stream. on the average they lasted for about 10 min. let's hope that the system will 'dry up' for tomorrow.

good morning!
the stream began to have breaks yesterday afternoon after 2 pm. the breaks lasted for about 10 - 15 min in a go for the rest of the day.
the same problem seems to persist today. it must be because of the wet weather... :puzzled:
MĀRIS sent a message about this to Jānis yesterday afternoon and i sent a mail to him in the morning. i hope that the problem is not in hardware in the forest but i'm afraid that it might be so. (if it were in the software then Techno-Jānis would have fixed it by now.) there's some stormy weather coming and it will not be easy to go out and make any repairs outdoors. :slap:

edit: i got a reply from Jānis (at 8:51):
"Informed Jānis R, he will have a look."

10:41 the stream restarted. i think it will work now.
thank you Jānis &Jānis!
it's sunny! :headroll:
btw: all material on the nest are in the same places as earlier in the morning. no-one has been here during the breaks.
Image

10:54 snow! :slap:

(i wanted to make a gif but Picasion didn't want co-operate this morning.)

11:20 - 11:23 again a break. :faint:

it's almost dark. the day was very stormy at times. the stream is stop & go again. :slap:

it seems that someone has visited the nest in the morning after all.
Image

the small things are in quite different places.
Image

a gif would show this much more clearly but Picasion still refuses to work.
edit: i made a short video of two images before and after the break.

9:20 the stream is running. let's see if it is stable...
9:26 a stop.
10:06 continued.... till 10:14. this doesn't look very good.
10:28 a new restart. hopefully it will work from now on.
10:34 stop.
10:38 restart and 10:55 stop.
10:59 restart and 11:06 stop.
11:!1 restart. this may go on all day. :faint:

this is the planet Venus.
Image

later also the planet Mars rose above the horizon just before it became too light to see.

11:55 mail from Jānis:
"Jānis R just restarted the system, he thinks that the problem was with control centre, not with some peripheral devices."
it seems that the stream has been running since 11:31.
thank you Jānis&Jānis!

... unfortunately there is not much to see. :slap:

20:06 and the stream is still running. :puzzled:
Techno-Jānis perhaps wants to see how the stream will run. there's of course nothing to see or hear in this stormy weather.
18:52 - 19:23 there were some breaks.

Milda on the nest in the morning.
-- wrong video first, sorry!

good night!

edit:
20:40:54 the camera stopped.

Good Morning :hi:

it sounds like it's going to rain.

Here, where I live, there were storm surges and European windstorm up to 130 km/h. That was a loud night :slap: it stays that way for today.....poor birds I wonder how they can survive this

this rain is interesting. it has rained something white practically all morning but very little snow has built up on the nest. it can't be cold so that the snow/sleet melts as it comes down.
