Milda climbed back down lower to the nest bowl.

May 21
good morning!
i started listening from 2:47 and i didn't hear our lodger leaving.
i didn't hear any eagle's calls either. apparently they spent their night somewhere far, outside our hearing range. they left so early yesterday afternoon (at 16:00) that they had time to fly far enough. if they visit later, in the evening, they also spend the night near the nest. then they call a morning song near the nest when they wake up and start their day.
it seems that no-one has visited the nest since yesterday evening. the pied flycatcher was the last visitor.

6:21 a wood pigeon flew by the nest. then another wood pigeon flew over the meadow from right to left.
wood pigeons are flying around and singing all the time but usually they are too far to see them properly. there have also not been territorial fights nearby like a year ago when the spruce on the right was on the border of two territories.

12:35 Voldis to the top. then to the nest.
... hahaa! this is not Voldis. a juvenile!
is it a girl? i think it's a girl, 4 CY (or 5 CY) with a dark spot on the nose.
jumping up and down and tearing the hay on the nest. the back is still very spotty.
