Hello , Polly and everyone.

... 06:28:50

Feeding

08:25 - 29 Eat previous prey, three.
H44 Bring Prey (08:28:16)
H21 has gone in and out twice with the same prey.
08:54:34 - 09:11:31 Finally, the four of them eat from that prey, but in turns. They almost always eat some of the prey at some point.
H21 Carries prey to nest (17:22:26 )
17:23:30 - 17:44:57 The four eat.
H21 Brings a prey to the nest. and plucked it right there.
20:35:58 - 21:01:32 Eating all of it.

At the entrances and exits, it removes the remains of the dams and can insert some green branch. On several occasions he goes out to the grove on the left, picks up the twig and brings it right away.

He has used the branch in front on several occasions, sometimes for quite a long time. (They don't all fit in the nest if they are separated).

The chicks already move near the edge of the nest, when they stretch they can be seen already at the beginning of the feathers wanting to get out.

Their droppings already leave the nest widely.

On one occasion H21 has used the elongated sounds several times (18:48 - 49).

Today H44 has only been to the nest once (08:28:16 - 08:29:03), although it is possible that earlier in the day he could have been more times.

Greetings and good night. :offtobed:

25 of May

Hello Polly and all. :hi:

... 06:47

Feeding

09:33 - 09:45
H21 brought recent prey but there were also remains of another in the nest.

15:13 - 15:27
H21 puts a new dam.

16:46 - 17:04
With remains of previous dams

19:59 - 20:11
H44 entered nest with prey.

All chickens have eaten all the prey.
On some occasion a chicken has tried to take food directly from the prey.
H21 feeds in the same nest at the beginning or end of feeding to chicks.

On one occasion H21 screeched to H44 ( 08:00:10 )
They keep bringing green branches in some entrances.
It has rained a little and the chickens have hidden what they could in the mother.
Chickens sleep, rest, move, stretch wings, eat... in short, the life of chickens that are still young.

Greetings and good night.

Hello Emiliano

(May 23rd)
H21 Elongated sounds ( 9:46:26 in the nest ...)
Yes, I had this situation as well. I suspect that H44, unseen by us, hangs around the nest more often. :innocent:

Thank you for your work! :2thumbsup:

May 26th

It obviously rained well during the night.
H21 is late for her first morning trip out of the nest. Normally she would have flown out about an hour ago. She stays with the chicks to give them some protection.

05:40 H21 gets up, looks around again and leaves the nest via the side branch.

The minis are waiting relaxed in the nest.
H21 can be heard in the grove.

05:44 H21 returns to the nest with food.
Image

Small feeding 05:44 - 48

Three chicks eat well but not greedily. The fourth chick sits and watches the feeding very closely most of the time.
Their harvests were still well stocked and they were not hungry. :innocent:

'48 H21 brings the rest of the fodder outside

It's good for the minis when H21 isn't present in the nest for a few moments.
They unfold, are more active and start paddling, standing...walking. Train well with more space in the nest. :innocent:

'50 H21 returns and the chicks gather near and under her again.

06:55 H21 picks something from the edge of the nest, gets up and leaves the nest without hesitation.

'58 H21 with large carcass back.
The chicks are sluggish, difficult to animate. Gradually they begin to take bites.
Image

Well, what's there? Everyone is distracted.
Image

Image

H21 feeds extremely well. Patient and attentive.

07:21 feeding finished

The food stays in the nest. H21 is approaching her chicks.

07:51 - 08:05
H21 stands up, faces away from the chicks, and begins to eat. A feeding intended only for itself. :innocent:
H21 remains very vigilant throughout. She stops eating, observes something. H21 doesn't seem excited but very interested.
She stays in the nest, relaxing her posture.

Then carries her attention outside into the undergrowth. :D

A time to also watch H21 in peace and watch them.
Her plumage is really mesmerizing at the moment. It's smoothing out again and still looking autumnal, while H44 has hardly any light spots and is evenly dark slate.

She pulls her leg in...stay alert.

08:05 H21 leaves the nest down. Possibly below the nest tree.

08:14 H21 via detours back to the nest.
'14:10 she jumps into the branches below the nest, then flutters further below to the side entrance and then up into the nest.

H21 sneaks up ... 8-)

H21 finds another leg of the last feed. Takes it, but leaves it.
Image

She pushes her chicks together away from the edge of the nest and gathers them 'under' her.
Well, she's trying.

09:01 She returns with well-prepared food
Image

'01 While H21 is already offering the first bites, H44 flutters onto the side branch with 'Gjak'....and is squeaked at by his female. :whistling:
Image

He flies away onto a tall tree in the left group of trees.

Feeding 09:01 - 12

The bites are accepted with great boredom. The chicks prefer to jump.
H21 continues to feed anyway and the bundles of joy take a few bites. Soon they move away from their mother ...
Image

Image

Image

09:12 H21 carries the rest of the feed out of the nest.

The heads of the chicks are beginning to look like hedgehogs. :2thumbsup:

09:45 H21 flies down again
'58 back

09:59 She picks up something smaller with her beak and leaves the nest with it.

09:03 H21 returns with a 'Gjak' and a smaller feed carcass.
The chicks don't show themselves hungry, everyone is cleaning themselves.
Image

H21 stands still, observes the surroundings and seems a bit undecided. She pulls the food closer, picking it up again and again. The chicks remain uninterested.
Image

H21 starts to work in the nest shell. The chicks have to wander around the nest a couple of times.

10:21 H21 has finished its work and is leaving the nest

Feeding 10:35 - 43

H21 showed a lot of perseverance in offering the food. The chicks are fed up. Were full...
In the end, a few bites went over the table for each chick, but it wasn't much.
Image

'43 now even the last chick turns away demonstratively. H21 is still hesitant, eating a little himself.

'46 She carries the food out of the nest.
