Good morning to all and thank you very much, IceAge!

This pic is from last night:

'Smiley' had found her way back ino the nest - I guess, she was in the tree all the time after yesterday's rush-in-arrival. Her beak is still slightly open, whatever happened to/with or around her must have cost her a lot of energy. - I'm relieved to see both our eagles busy with nest maintenance. :D

18:35. The cam is back - I just don't know since exactly when, maybe 5-10 mins. ago.-

Well, it kind of worked  until 18:45. Sound only - chiff-chaff chiffchaffing ... ('Patience' is my second name. No, my real second name is Constanze - not bad either... )

18:50: Radio reporting: I just heard some cracking sounds. A 'landing' sound or just some small birds dashing through and around the nest? Plus some grunting from the depths of the woods or the brook alley.
18:54: The cam now shows an unchanged scenery - no eagle landed.
19:08 (and before): Cam again going to sleep. -

Time of the other birds:

Finally one of our splendid soloists, a blackbird male, is on the nest and digs here and there, singing!, preens on the p-branch.
Shortly after, a nuthatch searches for some useful stuff in the nest bowl.

Image

20:51 f.: A wood pigon sings.

For the sake of good order: I haven't seen any WTE yet. The cam was turned off over night and began to transmit at around 06:00. Since then it went on and off, the sun is shining, there should be enough input for the solar panels. I have no idea why we have these cam issues at the moment.

Eagle day!

14:19: 'Smiley' arrives on the p-branch. Again panting, must be hot for her, although temperature is not very high in Matsalu - 23°C ,it says.

Image

At 14:47, she hops into the nest bowl.

16:25 (approx.): Cam -> :faint:
'Smiley' still is on the p-branch. She was busy with preening and relaxing, and she has recovered well from her flight back home.
16:30:18 (glimpse on the female before next cam :faint: ): She has turned on the p-branch.

So, it's not only woodpecker-, but also eagle Sunday (caught when the camm had occasionally worked...)-

21:02: 'Smiley' arrives on the p-branch. It is very hot, beak wide open, spreading her wings:

She lies down in the nest bowl for a short while:

Good morning to all!

The cam had many off-times the past two days; I haven't seen/noticed any WTE presence. Since we know them to be very early birds, I assume that they very well may have been there in the mornings. Today, I at least noticed this:

06:09:20 sth.: Plumage ruffling, coming from a branch at the right.
