Even our documentation is of no use. The only thing, we recorded that Marko and Miina exist .

I'm so sorry about this situation. I think everyone would be grateful for at least an intermediate information, something like "we are aware of the problem, etc.". After all, there is offspring in this nest (in Matsalu, there is none, so our cam "nirvanas" are annoying, but we don't miss THAT much...).

I am also very sad that we dont have any information about the health of this pretty family .
Would it be perhaps helpful to contact kotkaklubi or Urmas again?

Just to be fair: I guess all available man:womanpower and other items/things are invested now into the great Black Stork project we're about to witness. And this had to be prioritized, thoroughly prepared in advance. So much to organize and to procure everything needed - and the hard work is still to come ... this has become quite clear to me now that we have information on what they plan to do. Let's keep our fingers crossed - and if the project is running, this nest will have a chance to return to viewers (if the technical equipment allows it, that is. We don't know why the transmission had stopped.)

Fianlly the cat was let out of the sack and infos about the adoption try of the young black stork/s tonight are public
I hope for more time for Urmas after this event, to have a closer look at our osprey cam here, maybe together with ringing (?) and try to get it back to transmission, possibly also Omar, our Techno-Guru, has to help at that point.
As sad as it is for us when the cam drops out for longer and no one can go and fix it, particularly for you long-time-observers and 24/7 documentors, I am however happy that the situation in Estonia for ospreys is not as difficult and serious as for black storks and that we can be positive and expect that our two osprets are going to grow as they should and fledge as they should, from their own nest and without human help.
With enough food, not at least because of the commercial fish ponds.
I don´t know whether I shared it already here - Aigars Kalvans, Latvian ornithologist, wrote an article about "The diet composition of breeding Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) in Latvia"
https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... _in_Latvia
Most probably a lot of the results are similar in Estonia.
