@Linda - there has been no visible pip, so not close to hatching, but hatching is still a possibility.
I really cross my fingers, but during observing the last two seasons I guess Diamond has a problem with the eggshells.
They are too thick, the little chicks can it not make through that shell. Only a assumption, maybe her body produces to much calcium during the development from the eggs.

7:22 Xavier in with food.
Image

Diamond is eating, lil bit has had a nice feeding earlier.

But Mommy also asks chick to eat.

:hi: Birdfriend, Liz,
thank you very much for reports, pictures and video

"yeah, food, i'm hungry"

Birdfriend, last season one of the not hatched eggs was fertilized, the other not.
There are thoughts that the declining number of hatchlings could also possibly be due to Diamond's age, where peregrine falcons actually show decreasing fertility with age (according to Dr. Cilla Kinross). Unfortunately, it is not known how old Diamond (and Xavier) actually are.
But for now there is still time that at least one more egg might hatch. Hoping for another one :D

Diamond is restless tonight, busy with rolling eggs and chick, seems she is listening to the eggs, but i couldn't hear any sounds.

D was off for a PS into the nest, still no Pip visible

little one did a mini PS

Birdfriend, yesssss :loveshower:

seira, i haven't had time to answer earlier, but yes, in your pic (that with the link) was indeed a PIP.
I've watched carefully and took a few pictures, and i was pretty sure that it was a Pip, although on chat they say it was debris. Now we have an opened Pip, a big hole

Fingers crossed that the hatchling has enough strength to break out.

PS: yesterday Dad once more kicked the chick on its back, feet in the air, but it was able to turn back quickly

:slap: Diamond so urged him to get up after a very short chick-and-egg-time, poor Xavier
