Our wonderful Kaia is amazing!
Rather small in stature, but what a smart, tough and strong-willed bird.
Actually, we already knew that.

Is there any new information about Eedi? The last I know is that Eedi is possibly perished, but nothing else is known.

Hello Juta
Kaia is probably already somewhere in Syria right now. We often don't get data through from Syria. I think Kaia will report tomorrow evening at the earliest, if she flies on quickly.
Take good care, Kaia!

Thanks for this explanation, Anne! I immediately get a bad feeling whenever one of our storks doesn't send data, so this was very welcome information for me.

Following the migration of our beloved birds is undoubtedly a breathtaking (and often worrisome) business.
The adult birds have already proved to be strong and smart. They know their way around and are undoubtedly good fishermen who know the most attractive feeding places. Still, it remains a dangerous journey, a big challenge.
For the juveniles migrating south for the first time, it is more difficult. They still have to discover everything, learn everything. They have to be strong and healthy, they must be able to find and catch enough food. They need to be smart and, not to forget, they need a big dose of good luck.
Fingers crossed for all of them.

to all!
It is strange that KarlII passed Romania without staying there, unlike Kaia and Bonus. I thought he would spend some time in Romania too.
