I checked where he spent the winter: the last two years he was in the Central African Republic, which is near the equator!

Nurme again flew a long distance (369 km !), flew over Bulgaria non-stop and is now in Turkey,
at the Ergene River, not far from the Sea of Marmara

I think you are right, Balistar! Probably little Madi finds enough food in the ditches/canals of these fields. Otherwise, s/he would look elsewhere.

Few new data points from Madi in Romania, s/he moved a bit to south and is now at the river Danube, at the opposite side of Harsova







I wonder whether this is only a 'local' moving south or whether Madi will start to move further on south .... we will see it tomorrow
